Friendly and accessible hosts who made us feel very welcome. Lovely place, full of character and charm. Fantastic breakfast with loads of choice..remember to bring an empty stomach to the table!! Thoroughly enjoyed our all too brief stay and hope to be able to return for a bit longer next time. Thank you Hazel and Ian.

Such an amazing property. On the grounds of Greystoke Castle. Built in the 1840's and restored to be historically accurate. Any renovations overseen by a local group. The hostess is friendly, accommodating and shared so much information about the property and painstaking restoration. My wife said "This is the best breakfast we have had." And my wife loves a good breakfast. A great place to end our visit to the Lake District.

The welcome I received from Stafford house was second to none.The house and gardens are perfect ,as to the breakfast -ten out of ten(not trying the amazing porridge at Stafford house ,would be like visiting Paris and not seeing the eiffel tower)!

Stafford House proved to be a great place to stay for a few days visiting one of our children nearby. A really warm welcome from Hazel, everything we could need provided in the room, amazing breakfasts, room/bathroom perfectly clean.
