An affordable (non-camping) choice to base yourself for the Hooker Valley and surrounding hikes. The A-Frame rooms reminded me of school camps. Lots of timber and basic facilities. The room was clean and large and had everything you need. Great location, plenty of parking and the star gazing was incredible.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The check in was very easy. It was a great location for our activities. We were not expecting anything special and that is what we got so we were fine with the stay over all. It is a cabin after all.

Cute little chalet, easy check in. Clean bed, nice kitchenette. Not too far from Christchurch, great launching point for Lake Tekapo, Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, and Wanaka. Can walk to downtown/restaurants, a park with old machinery just across the road kids might like.

Breaking our journey from Dunedin to Christchurch with the idea we’d drive up to Mt Cook after check in. Had a few housekeeping issues which we brought to their attention, so hopefully they are resolved. Friendly helpful staff, comfy bed. Bathrooms need a bit of updating. Heating good.

Conveniently located near food and the main road to head out of Twizel. Appreciated the kitchenette with a kettle and refrigerator. Quiet and had what I needed. Wifi was very poor. Only briefly early morning was it ok and then it was so slow nothing would load.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was spacious and quiet. Even though it did get cold at night, I was fine with their comfy blanket and electric mattress pad. Definitely recommend it!

A convenient stop for our visit to nearby Mt Dobsin. Clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed, hot shower and effective heatpump. The most important items for any stay and essential in -9 degree temperatures.

Need replacing furnishings

Room has sufficient clean towels and looks nice from the outside, pillows are too flat, bed too soft. The bedroom window has a gap and cold wind coming through. Sofas are not comfortable at all.
