Great Stay
The booking confirmation stated that the check in closes at 11pm so I got there at 11 PM but there was a note saying check in closes at 10pm. Not to worry as the hotel left good instructions for me to be able to enter and get to my room. All good and much appreciated.
The hotel was quiet, May must be the low season which was fine by me. Room was clean and comfortable, shower worked well and I had a good set of black out curtains which were much needed due to the light nights.
Parking was straight outside the hotel and breakfast the next morning was basic but good. The staff member I saw was friendly and polite, and checking out was quick and easy.
I got a good deal on this hotel and off the price is right I worked stay again. Recommended.

Really loved the buffet dinner we had. It’s the best meal we have had during our entire stay (15 days) at Iceland. This country style hotel is a gem. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

The check in went well and we took the front desk clerk’s recommendation and visited the pub down the street before they closed for the night after we checked in. It was a unique place and we tried some local spirits.

A quiet place near the Norwegian Sea. To reach this place is through long and winding road but worth the drive. Breakfast was good and the front desk lady was very accommodating and easy to talk to. There were sheep roaming in front of the property but never seen any getting too close to the accommodation. Must be very nice during summer because it’s a puffin area but during our stay in end of September they are all gone.

Puffins Central!!
Amazing spot to see the Puffins… the staff was wonderful. It was on the pricey side. Our most expensive stop on the Ring Road by far.
Very small town, not much there, except an awesome Puffin experience. That’s must be the big price tag… and it was worth it!

Cozy and Friendly Place!
The hotel provided flexibility to split into another room. We arrived around dinner time and they had a delicious fish stew buffet with lots of veggies and a salad. The staff were all super friendly. The breakfast was also very hearty and they provided baggies in case you wanted to pack a light sandy snack for when you are exploring the area. A very cozy family feel, great for large groups!

We got warm reception from the owner. Since we were very late after viewing the puffins, he allowed us to make a simple meal for ourselves in the breakfast area. The room is comfy and the breakfast was very nice. Thanks.

The hotel is a slightly older hotel, so the furnishings and building are on the older side but nevertheless very clean. They offer a standard Icelandic/Nordic breakfast in the morning before 9am. The location is the main selling point truly is the proximity to the puffin nests, which are approximately 10min away on the other side of the village by car.
