Unbeatable price vs location

Simple and basic standard. This is by no mean a four star hotel, but for price and location it’s unbeatable. We were positively surprised, especially about the quality of the included breakfast. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great budget option - Clean, safe, central

I needed to stay in London for a business meeting but as a hybrid worker it meant I had to pay for my accommodation. The LSE halls of residence was excellent. Reasonably priced, very clean, safe and secure. It’s a university hall of residence so don’t expect luxury but this was a great option for staying right in the heart of London. Definitely somewhere I’d stay again.

Room assigned had no desk (despite it being a feature in my booking, and required Staff were very responsive and helpful, quickly got me moved to a new, better, room with a desk Queue for breakfast at 08:05 went all along the corridor, round reception, and back down corridor, a minimum wait time of 45 minutes I was told

Good for solo travellers

Nice place to stay if travelling solo and convenient as short walk to underground station. Only issue is that I didn’t like that the shower was shared as I had to leave my room and get dressed in the small space before going back. The toilet was also in a separate room. Towels were provided and there’s a sink in the room which is great! Overall a good stay, but shared bathroom put me off.

Fab room. Check in wasn’t great. It felt like I was an inconvenience to the person checking me in. Others were being shown around and advised when breakfast was served. I had none of this, the person checking me in barely spoke to me.

Standard student accommodation. Towels provided were tiny. Facilities very basic. Wouldn’t let me check in 15 minutes before the standard check-in time despite the room being ready, then when I came back in time had to wait in a line of about a dozen people. Could have been more flexible and use a little common sense.

Bedding was super comfortable. Good location for what we needed. But. Street noise was extremely loud, even with windows closed, from the 6the floor. Shower was the worst experience. Shower head was near the ceiling and sprayed every direction and soaked the whole bathroom. Being in the shower was not refreshing and the shower streams were uncomfortable hitting my skin. Breakfast buffet had many options but was extremely crowded, with long lines and hard to find a spot to sit.

Enjoyable stay at LSE High Holborn

Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are basic, but clean and towels and shower gel is provided. the shower again is basic, but clean and easy to use. The continental breakfast is very good, with fresh fruit, boiled egg and many other options. breakfast time is from 8 to 11. Not for early risers or leavers, but the time is generous. The location between near Holborn is ideal for a theater break. I was able to pop in before the performance to leave my day pack and just take what I need for a good night out. I loved that. All in All I had a very enjoyable stay and just wished that LSE High Holborn would be available not just in the summer holidays.

This accommodation is in a very good location and is very clean, but aside from that, it has none of the amenities worthy of being called a hotel. The room is very small, with no kettle or any coffee and tea facilities. The shared kitchen doesn't even have a tea bag; it's completely deserted. There is simply no coffee available anywhere in this accommodation. When I asked the staff for an additional pillow, they said, "Sorry, we don't have access to room service items. You need to wait until morning!" The common room is also dull and run-down. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience.
