The owner greeted us when we arrived and explained in a very confusing way how the B&B worked and then led us to our room through a maze of stairs, then rooms then more stairs, to the 3rd floor. Then we opened the door to our room #7. To my amazement the door literally opened to another flight of stairs! See photos. Carrying our suitcases and gear to the room was quite the chore. (No offer from the staff for help). Then as we got settled, I discovered that the deadbolt lock didn’t lock. Couldn’t seem to find the keeper, who was probably home. Showered etc without a secured door. At breakfast the next morning I complained about the deadbolt and the keeper promised to fix it. Of course when we returned that day deadbolt was not repaired. Tried to find the keeper to complain to no avail. Knowing he wouldn’t have it fixed that night, we spent another night unsecured. At breakfast the next morning the keeper went out of his way to avoid me. Breakfast was cold thick blueberry pancakes, yuck. The view was a joke, literally had to sit in a rocking chair and bend over a little.
