This is a pub hotel on the high street so it was very noisy during the night. There was repair work going on during the night across the road which was quite disturbing. Location is very convenient for the ferry terminal.

A warm welcome and delightful staff but, unfortunately that's where good bit ends. The hotel is extremely run down and in desperate need of a full renovation. My room was tired and extremely basic. The standard of housekeeping was poor with thick dust in the bathroom, mildew in the shower, a cracked basin and the bedroom wasn't much better with strange oddments of furniture. The room was very noisy from what I would guess is the main boiler which fired at regular intervals throughout the night. Dinner was not good enough. Great location but I won't be returning.

Lovely spacious, clean room with all facilities you’d expect. Super comfy bed. Cosy lighting for atmosphere, but would benefit with additional brighter light source for working or make up. My room was on 3rd floor, up steep stairs - so check you have a lower floor if stairs are a problem for you.
