Mar y Tiera was a nice hotel. Elevator broke for a day, on our floor it did not go down, you had to push up, then elevator went down. The bartender was fantastic. The food was decent. Location was great.

I stayed there for a week traveling from united state was given a option to upgrade the room which i took the view was excellent and then staffing was great.its a little bit out dated but if you like vintage it's a good place to stay.

The staff was very friendly. The rooms where nice but the showers definitely need an upgrade. The breakfast is fantastic but the dinner food not so much. Overall we enjoyed it. It’s a good affordable option.

Review of Hotel Mar y Tierra – Unpleasant Stay Des

The only highlight of our stay at Hotel Mar y Tierra was the beautiful view. Unfortunately, everything else fell far below expectations. Customer service at night was cold and unwelcoming. We also experienced a serious safety concern—the elevator malfunctioned, and we were stuck inside for four minutes. It’s clearly outdated and in need of urgent maintenance. The room conditions were unacceptable: a strong mildew smell, visible mold, stained pillows, and comforters that looked reused without proper cleaning. Most upsetting was how the pool staff treated my son, who is autistic and has limited verbal communication. As he was walking from our room to meet me (his mother), a staff member rudely yelled at him for simply trying to reach me. He didn’t understand what was happening, and it was heartbreaking and completely uncalled for. No family—especially one with children with special needs—should be subjected to this kind of treatment. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel and will not be returning

The security was lacking. In the middle of the night someone came knocking on our door to let him in. Scared the my wife very much, and then there are no instructions in the room on what number to call for desk service or security-related issues. I finally was able to call and ask to send security. Never heard back from them. Over all we would not recommand and will not be back.

Family vacations at Veracruz

Front desk attendant Wendy was very polite she attendant or needs with a superv service . She had no problem and attended my request for a second key for both of the rooms I rented . The room was very comfy and had a good view of the city and part of the shore line . The bell boy was very help full in pointing near by places to start our vacation adventure in the city . Our car was taken by car valet and was very good taken care off it was parked very near the hotel parking lot that has closed circuit cameras . The location is awesome of the hotel every thing and I do mean everything is in a walking distance . Give this hotel a try you will not be disappointed . Also try the bar it is a small one but the music is loud and really good our lady d.j was the best she took in requests from our table . Had a piña colada a cuba libre drink and some beers!! Very affordable prices . Thumbs up again for all staff ... Only the manager at the time he was very serious person would hurt if he would be more friendly and pop a smile from time to time . Customers love to feel welcome and appreciated ... Thank you Wendy again you are the best
