Good things first, location was great, easy walk to the old town and the boulevard. Streets felt safe and walkable. It was clean, Shower pressure was decent although the temperature varied. Cleaning was done each day and on a couple of days bottled water was provided. Breakfast was ok as long as you arrived before the bread and milk ran out.
As many hotels, smoking is allowed, this, along with the bathroom smell meant our room really smelled when we arrived (we almost asked to leave) However after a few days this dissipated.
Biggest issue was the noise, perhaps we were unlucky with our room location or other guests, but it seemed between 11pm and 1am staff would sit in the kitchen talking loudly (there was also children as well at that time). Maybe it was guests but you could hear plates banging so I don’t think it was. In the mornings staff started to prepare breakfast very early, again talking very loudly. Both were loud enough to wake us, even with ear plugs in!
The other issue was that the sheets didn’t fit the bed, meaning they weren’t tucked in at the side. If you turned over in bed you exposed the bare mattress which is really unhygienic.
