8/10 Good

The staff were wonderful - they were so friendly and helpful whenever we needed them (even after we'd checked out!) - they're a real asset to the place!
Katie, 2-night trip

Great location and lovely spacious bedroom.
Louise, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The location was good for my mobility scooter, helpful / friendly staff & we had a courtyard groundfloor room. Twin room was rather small, but adequate. Full English Breakfast was excellent value & not greasy- waitng staff were good. Many thanks for our stay.
Wendy, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The room was very clean and ready early for check in. The breakfast was good with varied choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The position of the hotel was ideal for being central in Exmouth for all amenities.
PAULINE, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Pleasantly surprised how nice it was.
DEBORAH, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The staff at the hotel were a joy, nothing was too much trouble and always professional with a smile. I only had breakfast 1 morning but there was a good choice and service with a smile. The beds at the hotel were comfortable and towels plentiful and thick.
Jill, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Nice and Friendly
Ian, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Really friendly and welcoming staff. Always smiling and checking to see if we needed anything, the hard working staff couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend!
Fleur, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

We had stayed here before and were disappointed earlier this year, when we were informed that the hotel was permanently closed. We were therefore delighted when we received an email from Richardson Hotels, offering accommodation there again. We booked a week in early July and weren't disappointed. Yes, the fabric of the hotel needs some attention but our room was clean and comfortable and benefitted from a bay window with a sea view. The staff were friendly, accommodating and very hard-working always with a smile on their faces. We would certainly stay here again in the future.
William, 7-night trip

4/10 Poor

Bathroom unclean and shower head moved all over the place
Tim, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

I liked the location and room. What I didn't like was the noise of the plumbing system , the full english breakfast was of low quality and the parking situation.
Edward, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Our room was quite large, the en-suite was a very good size. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Didn’t eat in the hotel, we will definately book again.
Pamela, 1-night trip

4/10 Poor

This is not an hotel. Restaurant has been closed for over three years, therefore it is a large b&b. Only offers breakfast No other food available. Not suitable for anyone with any disability. An open staircase at floor level on ground floor is very dangerous to children or elderly. Only has 7 parking spaces, which must be booked and 'free' parking on road is rarely available. Bar facilities are very limited. Awful place!
Malcolm, 7-night trip

Quiet
Anthonia, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Very small and dated rooms. Bathroom was almost bigger than the bedroom yet the shower box was super tiny, impossible to turn around inside and no place to put soap. Courtyard rooms are not good and we got woken up twice by garbage truck 5.30am and then 6.30am some other delivery truck with laundry…
Henrik Philip, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Seen better days.
Lawrence, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Stayed with a friend via work. We had room 211. A twin. Arrived pretty much on 1500 at check in time. Staff were flat out and we were asked to wait 15 mins for our room to be ready. Not a problem. Wed have waited. But what was amazing was the offer of a drink whilst we waited. After travelling 4 hours, this was gratefully received. All staff we came across were superb, humorous and very friendly. The room Was spacious, clean and tidy. Tv a little small if you’re going to be in the room but we weren’t fussed by this as we were heading out for work drinks and food. Shower was amazing powerful and hot. Nice view from the Maggie bay window too. Bar was a good area with TVs if you wanted them. Good selection of drinks. Hotel very convenient for town and the sea front. We’ll be returning for sure. Thank you . Mr cantwell

8/10 Good

Very friendly staff and welcoming. Booked for a dog friendly room which was fine. Carpet already had some hair on it and didnt look the cleanest. But otherwise, room was clean, sheets clean and bathroom. Tv worked fine as well. Bed was comfy and very spacious room. We didnt eat there but it smelt fgood in the morning. Great value overall and we would stay again. Location is great to walk to the sea front and we were lucky and able to park on the street outside. Only issue we had we didn't find a hairdryer in the room but as it was late we didn't ring down to check.
Liz, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

When we first arrived, we were not even greeted by the two women at reception. Finally, a nice man who appeared to be the caretaker, greeted us and helped us check in, despite one of the two women disagreeing with him whether the room was ready or not. He walked us through the main building, which was old, dirty and very musty, to the second building that you get to through an alley of sorts. The room was a decent size and cleanish and did not smell musty, though there was mold in the window. There clearly had not been a deep clean in years. They provided lots if towels and pillows, but the pillows were awful, flat and no support. It was a quick walk to town and the beach. A safety concern: Access to the second building was from a main level door that was left open and unlocked, even at night, so anyone walking down the adjoining alley could gain access.
Ruthless, 3-night trip

4/10 Poor

Very tired and dated and overpriced! The bed creaked every time you moved ! Would not return
June, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

We had a very pleasant overnight stay in a very nice room. Our only issue was the bathroom door was very badly warped and could only be closed if slammed. It then took a great deal of force to open it. If we had been staying for more than 1 night we would have asked to change rooms but decided to put up with it as we wouldn't be spending much time in the room. We only had dealings with the reception staff but all were very helpful and friendly.
