This property was fantastic in terms of its location and size. We were right in the heart of Old San Juan and couldn't have asked for more in terms of the kitchen & living space, two bedrooms, and two giant (and freshly remodeled) bathrooms.
The quirks about this place were manageable but could be improved: finding the specific apartment in the building was tricky as there are no staff on site and we didn't see a single other guest. The staff were responsive via email and phone but why are there two units in the building with the same number? Very confusing. Also, there's no parking so best to get your rental car before or after your stay here.
A few things in the apartment itself could use small improvements: shower faucet handle wasn't secured to the wall, missing smoke alarm in a bedroom, 3 wall AC units with three different unlabeled remotes all left on the table; took us a while to figure out which one operated which unit and then realized one had dead batteries so had to keep switching the batteries out depending on what unit we needed to work.
None of these things would keep us from staying again -- we definitely would bc the good definitely outweighs the "needs improvement." But with those tiny improvements this place would get 5 stars in every category!
