Overpriced Hotel close to Skaftafell glacier

Most expensive Hotel stay on our Iceland trip yet the room was like a cheap US motel, very basic, small and furnished cheaply. Breakfast buffet was disappointing. Hotel is in gretaa area though with a hike to the glacier at the back of the property.

Great location, but that’s it.

The location was practical, and the scenery was beautiful. Unfortunately the beds were broken, thus super uncomfortable. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at in our 10 days in Iceland, and the quality was very low. Everything appears to be 20 years old and falling apart in the room.

Restaurant food was good and convenient! Breakfast was nice. Location was great! Staff was friendly. Room was a little crowded for 3 adults but staff was able to provide an extra room at the last minute.
