2/10 Poor

I booked a stay (2 rooms) at this hotel a month in advance. After departing my first hotel in Cusco and spending a great day with a travel tour guide/ group, the tour guide dropped me and my family off at Plaza Gibaja in Ollantaytambo, only to find there was NO ONE WORKING at the hotel. We spent hours ringing their doorbell, and trying to contact them. NO ANSWER on their phone line or door. THE LOCALS helped us and after numerous attempts, one was able to speak to their business neighbor on a personal line. The manager stated THERE WAS NO BOOKING THROUGH EXPEDIA, and they had been having many problems with Expedia (bookings that were not reflecting on the hotel side). They apparently were did not present at work at Plaza Gibaja, because they were unaware of the booking they had for 3/24/25. This caused a HUGE INCONVENIENCE to me and my family- leaving us STRANDED with All our luggage in the street of a FOREIGN COUNTRY with a foreign language, and no alternative plan/ stay. Expedia is currently REFUSING to issue a REFUND because they too, CANNOT GET IN CONTACT with Plaza Gibaja. It was not my choice to not stay at the accommodation that was booked via expedia. I was Present and stranded.
