Not bad for the city

Close to many sights; easy to get around. We had dirty sheets when we checked in. But they did get us new ones. First floor room was close to the street noise. Heard the cars and honking all night.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Not a traditional hotel but interesting and quirky. Staff always knew my name during my 7 night stay. The most important aspect is its location. On 42nd Street but away from the busy Times Square

AC broken - Not Clean

AC is broken, lots of bugs in the room. The bathroom floor is very dirty, and lots of flies. The pillows had an intense aroma typical of Indian cuisine, as if someone had slept there very recently. Also there are bus lanes directly outside the hotel so my Uber received a ticket for crossing into the bus lane.

For the price, this hotel did OK. It was clean, very nice bathroom although shower amenities were small. Issues with both TV’s in the room- one did not turn on at all and the other only worked on an Amazon Firestick, so no access to Live tv for news or sports unless you logged into your own live stream account. Also- AC was sketchy. Didn’t work at all in bedroom. The living room worked sporadically. We ended up opening a window. We were on 3rd floor and it was not too noisy.

When I booked this value hotel I was a bit skeptical but needed a fair price for my short stay. I will say I was happily surprised about this hotel. Close to Times Square and transit. It is an older place but everything worked (I had read some reviews about heat and water temperature being an issue) we had no issues at all and would stay here again. Staff was super helpful and nice. The weather was cold and then hot, we used both heat & air in room. Hot showers, fridge in room, decent bed, what more could I ask for in a budget hotel! Thank you.
