Great value and location

Great location for exploring Peñafiel and surrounding areas. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great value for money however the Spa was extra at €25pp for one hour which had to be booked at reception.

This hotel has such potential. The building is well maintained. However service is terrible and the hotel doesn’t has any atmosphere.

Nice hotel in historic convent

We went to Peñafiel for a wine trip in Ribera del Duero. The hotel ended up being the perfect location. Convenient parking, nice spacious rooms, good food and wine, with a beautiful view of the castle. The town is pretty much a ghost town Monday - Wednesday, so the wine tour and hotel were highlights for our short stay.

10/10 Excellent

The hotel is beautiful. The only outcome was the inconvenience with the parking and If you want to get just coffee in the morning they are not able to let you buy just the coffee. You need to buy the whole breakfast. Other than that I will Stay here again.

10/10 Excellent

Very convenient to park and to walk to the center of the village Nice caracter/charm Noice insulation only bad point ( old building so normal)
Sylvie, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

The hotel was beautiful, clean, staff attentive. But one of the main reasons I booked here was for the indoor pool. Sad to say, no indoor pool, just a wading pool for spa. It was disappointing. But the hotel is well located.

Former convent converted into a trappist monastery

This hotel could be really great as it is in a fabulous historical building. A convent complete with cloisters and a central patio which has had a roof installed and turned into a large lounge area. However, it was more like entering a trappist monastery. The hotel has only a skeleton staff who seem a little uninterested in the residents. The lady on reception never told us about the spa. Maybe it isn't open? But I saw people in bath robes coming out of a door marked spa. I have to also say charging 5 euros to use the car park is a bit of a cheek. The cafeteria was as inviting as a station waiting room. The restaurant opened at 20.30 with just one waiter who struggled with 8 covers. Maybe he was chef as well. The food was very overpriced and the wine list was ridiculous. The atmosphere was dead. Like people were afraid to speak. Weird. It could have been better with more staff and maybe drinks service in the lounge area as the bar was closed. The room was small but adequate. The window looked out onto a wall. The garden was closed as summer hadn't arrived at the time of our visit. Overall I think they could make you feel more welcome and maybe ask you if you wanted any tourist advice when you arrive.
David, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

Carolina, 2-night trip

8/10 Good
