Nice hotel, friendly staff. Good location next to sarande and great beach and pool area.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!

I stayed at San Angelo Hotel with my friend Daniella and we had such a fantastic experience. From the start, the staff were so accommodating and always ready to help with anything we needed. Obed and Samuel looked after us brilliantly at mealtimes, and Joseph was especially kind and accommodating to Daniella, he really looked out for her and made sure she was comfortable throughout our stay. Helen and Caroline on reception were so friendly and gave us excellent recommendations, while Sule and Victoria kept our room spotless and always greeted us warmly. What really touched us was the free lift to the Sarandë bus station at the end of our stay, such a thoughtful gesture that shows how much they care about their guests. Sarandë itself is absolutely beautiful, and this hotel made our time there even more special. We truly felt at home, and I’d highly recommend San Angelo Hotel to anyone visiting.

The property is really well set-up and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is really friendly and helpful, and the location is a short drive to the promenade and city center area.

We loved Albania

We liked the location of the hotel as it was only a short walk into Sarandë centre on an evening, but also far enough out to avoid the noise and crowds. The hotel is generally very well presented, with plenty of sunbeds either by the pool or on the beach. The buffet breakfast was very nice, with some good variety to select from. The staff were the standout feature to this hotel. They were so kind, warm and welcoming 🙏. They were always there to help and the bar and resteraunt staff were so friendly and helpful. The main negative for us was the relatively small size of the standard double room. The bed took up most of the space, leaving very little room for anything else. This meant the room became to feel quite claustrophobic after a few nights. We had a sea view balcony which i would definitely say is worth paying extra for as the balconys at the back of the hotel just look onto other buildings and seemed to get limited light or sunshine. All in all, i would recommend this hotel but only for 3 to 4 nights, unless staying in an upgraded suite.

The hotel itself is nice with a great pool, but it is definitely not a 4 star. They were constantly out of beach towels and the front desk didnt really seem to care abut service.

Lovely hotel, some improvements needed

The hotel communal spaces were great, the pool area and private beach were beautiful and well looked after. The hotel location was great, just a short 10 minute walk to lovely restaurants and amenities. our sea view room had a perfect view and looked over the pool and beach area. The rooms were however quite small and not much storage space for clothes etc and the shower overflows into the rest of the bathroom. The breakfast was disappointing, there weren’t many options and the food provided wasn’t as good as what we would expect from a hotel that visually is as lovely as this one. Overall a lovely hotel, however we feel that a few areas need improvement.

Lovely hotel, in particular the view was incredible. Very quiet off season, own private beach. Though it is a very new hotel and still bits under construction - eg car park, spa etc. Though would still recommend once completely finished. Breakfast also a little basic though ok.

Avoid if you don't want a Rave...

We booked this hotel for 9nights, looking for a quiet and relaxing adults only hotel. The hotel's own website advertises it as 'our resort is designed to provide guests with a relaxing and rejuvenating experience' and this was just what we needed. This hotel does not live up to its own description. When we arrived we were checked in and went up to our room, amazing views across the pool to the sea, on the surface it was lovely. We grabbed our stuff and headed down to the pool side, to relax... This vibe was short lived, within an hour a DJ had set up and the music was unbearably loud! The music could be heard across the whole hotel, and all the way down to the beach, there was nowhere to escape it! Even in our room the music was so loud, I took a recording on a decibel reader, it registered at 100bD, IN OUR ROOM WITH THE DOOR CLOSED!!!!! We were promised by all the staff, including the hotel manager, that this was a one off and the 'serenity in Sarande' would return tomorrow, this was not the case! EVERYDAY without fail the volume of the music ramped up at 2pm and continued until 8pm, it was honestly unbearable! There was no respite... We spoke to the manager on numerous occasions about the noise and the fact that we had only booked the hotel because of their own advertising, she offered us champagne and lunch, neither of which we took, as to be honest the only thing that would have made the situation better was the volume dial being turned down!

We really enjoyed this property! It is situated on the ocean front in the middle of town near coffee shops and restaurants. The views are amazing the rooms have nice decks with glass railings and fantastic views. There are two pools and lots of great cabanas and lounge chairs around the pools and on the beach front to choose from. The best part of the experience was the very friendly and attentive staff. We definitely plan to return.

This is a new resort - and the pool area/room/location are excellent. I loved being a 5 min walk away from the main strip, and the private beach was stunning (the best in the area). The pool is superb. However, the cost of the food at the resort is pretty absurd and we struggled to get served for a drink by the pool. They need to iron out some issues but overall the resort was great and well worth the price.

Suites were amazing with a great view of the pool and sea. Very clean and modern rooms. I loved the tub in my room & the rainfall shower was pretty large. I did not like that my suite had a shared balcony; so the staff found me another room with 2 private balconies. The staff is great and super responsive. They will provide excellent customer service to ensure your visit is pleasant. Highly recommend! Be sure to check out the 2 pools, bar, and private beach. 10/10

Yes yes yes

The property is beautiful. I had a modern style suite with a balcony and separate living area. The view was phenomenal, the pool area is fabulous. One day they had an amazing DJ which was great (music is not too loud, just right for relaxing by the pool.) The food is also very good. I highly recommend this hotel, although there are some strange things to note which I think are common in Albania; There is no phone in the room, there is no double lock on the door, there is no room service, and there is only a sheet on the bed (u can ask for a blanket and they will provide it happily.) Apart from these points the hotel is new, the staff is helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. They also provide free water and breakfast daily.

Enjoyed our stay, the hotel is lovely. Pool area, beach and sunbeds etc are great. Convenient location, easy walkable distance from the ferry port if coming from Corfu. Supermarket opposite, and lots of restaurants within walking distance. The room itself was pretty basic - lacking a few basic things such as iron/ironing board, there was no bin in the hotel room, and there is no full length mirror either which makes getting ready difficult. The room is quite small too, but fine enough if you’re just sleeping there. Breakfast was a let down personally - I think as Brits we have high expectations of breakfast and the selection here was poor. Everything was cold, and some strange choices of broccoli etc for breakfast…. No toaster for bread etc too. Staff were all really lovely and kind, there’s no huge negatives for this hotel I just don’t think it’s quite a 5* hotel. I’d expect more from a genuine 5* hotel.

Great option in Saranda.

San Angelo Luxury Hotel is a brand new hotel and has a lot of high points but there are also a couple of details to be improved. Location: Very well located, close to the best places in Saranda! Structure: This place is just beautiful, the building, the pool, the beach... everything looks amazing. Service: There are points of improvement to be addressed. In my case, a mistake on the booking occurred and the room I had booked was not available to me when I arrived. Just to be clear this is not a big deal and my room was ready for me on the next morning. However I felt really uncomfortable with the approach of the front desk lady of the afternoon shift when I was trying to get a resolution to it, the communication with her was very hostil to say the least and honestly it almost made me move to another hotel. Luckly the front desk manager was such a gentleman and listened to what I had to say and even presented me with champagne and fruits. Other than that, all the other folks from the staff were very kind and tried to their best to provide an amazing service

5 night stay

Our stay was a lay by the beach and pool stay. We asked the day before if it was easy to get a taxi from the wharf, it wasn’t the easiest as it was too close and taxis didn’t want the short trip. We arrived and were greeted by the front desk team, one very friendly professional man and a blonde lady who seemed to be annoyed by everything. We were in a corner room in the back corner, we had a partial sea view which was nice! Our tv did not work and the wifi didn’t work the best… we were told its not great around the hotel. Breakfast was disappointing, we were told breakfast was until 11am and most mornings at 10 they had finished serving eggs and toast. We had really nice and friendly waiters at breakfast service who did their best! By the second morning our waiter knew our coffee order and had them out nearly as soon as we sat down. Throughout the day by the pool and beach the speakers were too loud and it seemed like the DJ would mix only a few songs and then revert to a playlist, we had many songs on repeat. The night front desk lady was very helpful and was very interested in our feedback on things like the wifi and tv not working. Although, nothing was fixed or done about it even after bringing it to the attention of several staff members. We ended up eating lunch and dinner out as it was less expensive and very nice good flavours and again friendly people. Overall the hotel is nice but definitely not Luxury and definitely not 5 star as it was advertised.

2/10 Poor

My pregnant sister and I have never stayed in a hotel where we had to wait outside in 33 degrees heat for taxi with luggage after checkout because the staff made us so upset! Hair on the floor, a stain on the bedsheets and dust upon checkin. Very small room and no space to open our large suitcases properly, could only open one at a time or walk in the room without scraping our legs on the bedframe. My sister hurt herself many times. The breakfast was very disappointing and lacked variety. No hot water in whole hotel night so I had to sleep without showering because it was too late to wait. Staff were very friendly but blond woman at reception needs to sort out her attitude! The check out was a nightmare! We asked for one kinder and coke the night before and I don’t know if there’s a language barrier but they thought we ate the one on the room. The lady at reception made me explain multiple times and after a while we were annoyed. We also had to speak to the manager about a misunderstanding on taxi prices. He asked me how my stay was and I explained all issues above and showed photos of the room. The cleaning lady had attitude when shown photos, kept asking to show again and question if it was the right room. manager asked me again about the minibar. I didn’t want to discuss again as it was now annoyed. He insinuated we stole which upset me and said we will go up get the snacks and pay. He apologised and offered food but we was too upset and waiting 30 min outside for our taxi.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had

I don’t usually even write reviews but I felt I needed to here. Our stay at the San Angelo hotel was extremely disappointing. From the start, the facilities were in terrible condition – the sunbeds were all ripped, filthy, and clearly not maintained. The phone in our room didn’t even work, making it impossible to contact reception, though that hardly mattered since no one seemed available to help anyway. The room itself was dirty: the towels were stained, the floor hadn’t been cleaned properly as there were other people’s hair on the floor, and the bed design was ridiculous – surrounded by stone edges that made it painful to get in and out. The toilet leaked and was soaking the floor. There is also not a TV in the part of the room where the bed is which was very odd and useless. Breakfast was abysmal. There were flies crawling over the fruit and food, which was left uncovered. The selection was poor, and there were no diary-free or gluten-free options at all. Entertainment was equally dreadful – the singer was completely off-key and made it unpleasant to sit through. There were also really loud sounds which sounded like people were moving chairs at 1-3am and then again in the morning as the staff were setting up breakfast at 6am. Overall, this hotel was a huge letdown. Definitely NOT a 5* hotel. The overall feel is very cheap. Poor hygiene, terrible food, and uncomfortable rooms. I would not recommend staying here.

Mooi gelegen hotel.

WIFI is zeer slecht.
