10/10 Exceptional

Loved the rooms, the staffwas friendly and helpful, the rooms and area was quiet

10/10 Exceptional

Unique place; suite was large and spotlessly clean, although somewhat bare. Staff went over and above to send my son's forgotten stuffed animal to our new home (out of province) for which I am grateful. Only gripe is that the parking lot is not well lit. Enjoyed our stay

8/10 Very good

Pretty much a mini apartment. 2 comfortable beds, appreciated portable fans in both bedrooms. Living area had recliner and couch with 2 reclining ends. Kitchen pretty much had all you could need: kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, stove. Dishes, dish soap, tea towels, dish cloth. The only thing we assumed they would have but didn’t was a hair dryer.

The Prospectors Inn had everything I needed - two bedrooms with comfortable beds, a full kitchen with a stove, microwave oven and dishes and cutlery, a nice living room area and a complete bathroom.

Good

Only stopped for one night. Very accommodating with late check in, as no one on site. They are in the process of updating the hotel. Good price for a two bedroom apartment with kitchen. Unfortunately both beds squeaked with any movement, but still a good sleep. Town of Lakeland was interesting due to once being a gold mine town.

A great place to stay

Very roomy, very clean, most importantly a comfortable bed. Especially before a 12 hour driving day.

While not fancy, room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. An economical option if staying for an extended period and a good set up for preparing your own meals.

Good room.

Good basic room, but walls are quite thin. The couple in the room next to us argued until past 2AM, making it very hard to sleep. Checkin was great. Location is great. Price was great.

I liked the uniqueness of the property. Check in was quick and to the point Beds and room was very comfortable Kitchen and price was a welcomed luxury Thanks for making us smile, as we were there for a difficult personal reason.

This place is way beyond my expectations. The units are huge, brand new, clean, comfortable, bright, with full kitchen and essentials. There's a livingroom and small table & chairs. The price is amazing and long or short term stays are offered. If you're in KL, this is the place to stay.

I realize this property is currently under renovations. Over all it was clean, and the staff excellent. Had difficulty finding the Office but over all a nice place
Kathy, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Check in was a bit odd. No one available at first. Staff member came right into our room and closed the door to go over the necessary information. If I had been alone that would have made me uncomfortable. Room was Spacious with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen and living area. Rooms were clean but there was an overpowering smell at first. Not sure if it was cleaning solution. Couch was not comfortable and had an odour to it. Overall it was good just a couple of things that were not so good. Good value for the cost.

Great value for a suite hotel.

This property is a little unconventional. It is not like a typical hotel at all. There is no check-in counter or any of the usual features you might see in a hotel. HOWEVER, the staff member who checked me in was very professional. The hotel was in constant communication with me, met me at the door when I arrived. Check in was quick and easy. I was escorted to my room, shown the features and then left with instruction about how to contact staff if there was any need. The room and building was very clean. The room was more like an apartment than a typical hotel room, with a full kitchen, sofa and chair, TV, separate bedrooms and bathroom. The bathroom lacked a little vanity space, but was otherwise great. The bedroom was spaceous, bed comfortable, but could use closet/hanger facilities. The ventilation fan in the kitchen is pretty low-powered, so I wouldn't trust it to evacuate heavy cooking smells. It was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes & cutlery. The unit does not look like it is air conditioned, however this was not a problem for me at this time because the weather was cool and AC was not needed. Overall, the property offers excellent value and I would absolutely stay again.
Large bedroom
Super clean bathroom
Full kitchen.

4/10 Fair

Your standard questions really don't apply, here, for the Prospector Inn was not a typical roadside inn. From the outside, the place appeared run-down, as if closed for business: peeling paint, broken pavement, weeds, gravel parking area, poor signage. The entrance, as such, led only to a series of corridors, clean and painted brightly white, several signs pointing, past a cold drink machine, to the closed "Office" door. I rang the bell and was pleasantly greeted by the owner (?), who checked me in and showed me to my room, which was clean, but spare, with up-to-date kitchen appliances. Stains on the sofa. No air conditioning (on a very hot, sultry August day), but a fan that helped bring cooler evening air inside. Modern, clean (but small) bathroom. Fast wifi, once I figured out how to connect. (Several "Prospector" sites listed and I seemed to have to search at random to hit the right one!) Perhaps better suited for someone needing a longer-term stay with kitchen than for a room for only a night or two. No public amenities other than that soda machine along one corridor. No "public" spaces inside, just the rooms along those bright, white corridors!

Good price point for Kirkland Lake area. The motel/inn is a work in progress but I trust it will only get better. We had a large room with kitchenette. The Inn and surrounding area is very quiet, great for sleeping.

6/10 Good

The entrance to the parking lot off the road is terrible. We were in a dodge truck and it bottomed out as we entered and left the parking lot.
