Check in was at the diner in the parking lot of motel. There was no front desk or service area...not even a place for cup of coffee: including in room). Entrance was very dirty. (After we registered the diner waitress told us that they had a contract with the train company and if the guys got noisy to let her know).
Our handicapped, which we did not ask for but I pity anyone who was handicapped using it. Our room was at the end of the building, down and poorly lit long hall. Rm118 was musty and extremely dirty, shower was moldy and rusted, and looked uncleaned for a long time. There was urine stains on the wall beside down the front of the toilet. Nothing in the rm was clean or dusted so I went back to our car and got disinfectant spray and wipes to at least kill the germs. I did the entire rm and still felt the creeps there. Could not take showers and were dirty from being on a train for 5 hrs that day. I have pictures and seriously I could go on and on. We would have left but didn't know the area, it was late, were exhausted, and GPS was sporadic, so we stayed sleeping very little. It was one of the worst hotel experience we have ever had including 3rd world countries. All this and we were Charged $200.01 to our credit card. Had been quoted $150.01. Didn't get a recipe from the gal in the diner. (I should have asked). Such a sad ending to our long awaited get away. Please do something about this so that no one else has to go through it.
