Clean!
Although it caught us off by surprise being a motel instead of a hotel, we really enjoyed our stay. They recently did a remodel and did a good job. If you need a last second place to stop for a good price, this place may be for you. Contrary to other reviews, the staff was nice and had no issues.

This property was one of the most affordable stays that I had with all the facilities. The owner manager was really nice and helped us with all the required amenities. The fridge and full range microwave was a big plus.

I recently stayed at StateLine Stayovers and it was a great experience. The room was spacious, giving off a cozy mini-apartment vibe, complete with a kitchenette which was super helpful. The staff were friendly and readily available. If you're looking for a comfortable spot that feels like home for a longer stay, I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Check-in was hard to find and not lit up signs for night time arrival. However, the staff were very nice. I would have rated a little higher, but we wound up killing 1 huge spider and 2 smaller ones. I believe the unit could be exterminated for spiders and bugs. Comfy beds. Microwave and small fridge were convenient. The a/c worked very good & the water pressure, hot & cold were perfect.

Bring cash. Lower expectations. Clean.
Our room was supposed to be two queens and a full pull out. It was 2 double beds and a small futon. They required a CASH deposit, which we didn't have and had to go to an ATM after driving 14 hours.
The room and sheets were clean. The AC was cold.

Great!
Huge beautiful rooms. Room has a kitchenette and living room area that is separate from the sleeping area. Everything was clean and brand new. Will be staying here for a few months while working and am happy to say it feels like a mini apartment. It is quiet and peaceful here. My only complaint would be the pillows as they are super flat, but traveling for work so often we bring our own bedding anyways.

The staff were really nice and helpful. They are in the middle of a remodel of the hotel rooms. So the one we actually needed wasn’t finished yet. They do have new mattress. But the sheets were dirty and needed to be thrown away.

The outside was questionable. But the room was decent. But when we need towel paper and fresh towels no one was in the lobby. They just left for hours. The few ppl that was there was left high and dry. Very unprofessional.

Overbooked and no room for paid up reservations
Arrived to check in on April 7. Had my paid for reservation info. I walked into the office and the lady just pointed at the sign saying no more rooms. Told me to contact who I booked the room through to get a refund. Was not helpful at all or concerned that I did not have a room.

Worst hotel ever.
The guy at the desk told me with a smirk on his face that my reservation I had booked and paid for in advance was cancelled. It wasn’t his problem and I was on my own. When I tried to resolve with Expedia they called him but he wouldn’t answer.
DO NOT STAY HERE. It’s a total dump and service is dishonest and inconsiderate.?

Never left the lobby
I've been using hotels.com for a while now this is not the first problem I've had. Set up a room for the night using my hotels.com gift card. Long story short this hotel does not and will not accept the hotels.com gift card however the app claims that it does and allowed me to rent the room with the gift card. I wasted over an hour in the lobby talking to the manager is very disgruntled wife multiple hotel.com Representatives over the internet and over the phone. In the end hotels.com refunded me my gift card amount for the room however that will not go back onto my car for 7 to 15 business days then they told me I could rent the room for $15 more than I had already paid for it but I could only pay for cash and hotels.com said that they would reimburse the difference. There is not a Chase Bank out by that hotel and I wasn't going to pull cash so I left and went to a different Hotel. I made it very clear to each representative from hotels.com to please remove that hotel from the selection that claims it accepts their gift cards. So far on the app it still shows that hotel will accept the gift card. I was exhausted and was not happy about wasting just over an hour standing in a Lobby that does not have any sort of chair or couch to sit down and wait on while the hotel.com Representatives continuously ask me to be patient and wait

Texarkana disappointment
We were passing through on our way to Missouri. The hotel is under construction. Our room was mostly finished, but we expected a queen size bed and it was only a full size. The mattress was covered with plastic and not comfortable. My husband had to sleep on the sleeper sofa, but it was brand new and the bed still wrapped in plastic. He ended up sleeping on the floor. Also no bedding for the sofa bed. There was only one dirty towel in the bathroom. When I asked for two new towels, the desk attendant was arguing and very reluctant to give me two towels. The towels were small and threadbare. I would not stay there again.

No frills, decent-read review ❤️ would stay again
We were surprised upon arrival to hear that only one dog was allowed per room as well as a cash deposit requirement of $50. I saw it was a $10/dog per night on hotels.com. We negotiated and they charged $20/might for both dogs totaling an extra $20. ^o^
Luckily I have dealt with many places that request cash deposits, so I was prepared for this and handed over the money. They were SUPER concerned with our dogs tearing up the walls or doors from scratching, but we guaranteed that wouldn’t be a problem. Thank goodness they let us stay.
The room was newly updated and VERY CLEAN with a few minor things missing, like the 2 burner stove. There was a microwave and small fridge. But no dishes/pots/pans/utensils like you might expect at an extended stay, however we were only staying the night so it wasn’t a problem.
They did refund my deposit without issue.
I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN! ❤️

Tried to contact hotel for a late check-in person who answered the phone hung up on me and then refused to answer the phone. Tried to check in the next day for my second night and they wouldn’t check me in so paid for two nights and didn’t get to stay there at all. Most unprofessional individual I’ve ever dealt with hanging up the phone and then refusing to answer. Did a drive-through of the property and it is the most rundown looking motel in the area. Personally, don’t know how anyone could feel safe staying at this poor excuse of a motel.

Poor customer service and thieves
They were the rudest people I’ve ever came in contact with. Booked a room for 5 people and they only gave me two towels and when I asked for more they told me sorry not every three days are you allowed new towels. I booked my room online and they wanted my debit card anyways so they could charge me 100 at the end of my stay. They said there were broke towels in the bathroom and 100% a lie, the fire alarm went off due to cooking popcorn and charged me for that. Worst experience I ever had and I will never be back. Please get new staff, I’ve heard this from so many other people.

Worst experience ever. They did not have a room that we booked. Confirmation email was not enough from Expedia. They requested to see a recipt. After finding a recipt they requested to see that it was paid. So at 11pm i was looking on a confirmation of payment on my phone. Anfter providing them with confirmation of payment they informed me that room that I reserved and paid for is not avalible and they can give me a smaller room for the same price that i paid. I notified them that I need two beds since I am traveling with teenage kids of oposite sex and was told it is not their problem. When I asked for a refund they informed me that since they do not have my money yet I should contact whoever I booked it with. All of it was happening at 11pm. Also did I mentioned that they only had 3 cars parked outside. How can they have no rooms my size availible when hotel is completely empty.

The kitchenette suite is very spacious - great home base for solar eclipse. We were able to set up our telescope in our 'living room' and still have plenty of space! The desk and chair and living room chair and couch were very comfortable. It was nice having two AC/heat units - we could keep temperatures cooler in the 'bedroom and kitchen area' and warmer in the 'living area.' We liked having a full fridge w/freezer, a microwave, a kitchen sink, and cabinets to store food and supplies. There was a dishwasher - never used it as the stove was ripped out of the room. The sign at the property states "Extended Stay with Kitchenette." Advertising a kitchenette without a working stove misleads guests - we had planned on cooking our meals here. Front desk said the fire department made them rip the stoves out.
The beds and pillows were good - not sure why the mattresses are wrapped in plastic - makes noises and you may over heat while sleeping.
Negatives:
Bring your own towels and toilet paper if staying for more than a night. Don't expect any house keeping. Bring a lampshade for the bedroom lamp.
Shower curtain rod fell down - was not screwed into the wall properly. Thankfully after mentioning to the front desk they had a handyman come do a temporary fix. Tub/shower combo drained really slow.
Would stay again if we needed an affordable place to stay - worked out to be ~$56/night, stayed 4 nights starting on a Fri night.

Not a Typical Hotel!
I booked the room while traveling and expected a hotel. It was actually a motel. That's OK. I do stay in motels sometimes and I had two adult sons with me. We felt safe enough, but the location and appearance caught us off guard. Check-in was in a building separate from the motel building. (There were actually two motel buildings and a check-in building.) IDs were required for ALL adults staying in the room. The room itself was large and clean. It appeared recently painted and updated. It had two beds and a pullout sofa, which is the main reason I booked it. Each of us had our own place to sleep! The bed mattresses were encased with "noisy" protectors. They crinkled when we moved. The pillows on the bed were in shams (not cases). They were so thick and hard that we couldn't use them. There were no other pillows available. The pullout sofa mattress was still in plastic. It appeared new. There were no extra linens for it, so my son closed it up and slept on the couch. We didn't have enough towels for 3 people, but it didn't matter because we didn't stick around long enough to shower. I don't recall seeing any supplies for making coffee, even though that is a pretty standard amenity in lodging. There was ONE plastic cup. No ice bucket. All in all, you get what you pay for and the accommodations were OK if you need simple, clean, and economical.
