Beautiful…but beware additional charges

Firstly it’s a beautiful new hotel, rooms are spacious and clean. People are nice and welcoming Couple of complaints…everything is “extra” pool access (size of a bathtub) €20 each. Parking €19, breakfast €25 EACH! If your a family of 4 that’s €100! You can get a steak meal in Rouen for that price! Sort yourselves ur Hyatt and give clear pricing when people are booking

Newly converted property (former teacher training college we were told) with useful addition of welcoming area, restaurant terrace (city view) and on site secure parking. Staff casually efficient and competent with good swift service in the restaurant of excellent vfm food. If you feel inclined the bus from on the main road (adjacent) services the main historic Rouen sites.

Beautiful location and hotel

Easy to check in and plenty of car spaces available Breakfast was full continental. Bedroom came with air conditoning unit and bed was very comfortable. Very spacious room! Shower came with very good pressure. Fitness suite had cardio machines and some weights. Nothing bad to say at all.

Poor Service and poor experience

Hi I had booked two rooms a twin room and a deluxe room with city view. When I booked in the lady on reception quoted me a credit card number that was not mine and I clearly explained it was not my credit card. Still she proceeded to book me into the room - 224 and 227. I went to room 224 and it was not ready so my husband and I waited in the corridor for the cleaners to finish )(circa 5.00pm) . We went in and unpacked. About an hour later another customer entered the room with a key card. Clearly she had been booked into the room too. A few minutes later a different member of hotel staff knocked on the door and asked me who I was. She then explained she thought the original staff member had made a mistake and booked us into the wrong room. She offered no apology and did not mention that we were not in the deluxe room we had booked. I later went down to reception and I asked about the deluxe room, she said the only thing we were missing was a coffee machine (this is not correct) and that we could have a free coffee from the bar. The next morning when I went to check out a different person on reception again asked me if I was the other customer and tried to charge me for their breakfast. Why had out details not been changed on the system? Why did I keep being asked if I was the other customer and I believe that I should have been offered a coffee machine, robe, slipppers etc given I had booked and paid for a deluxe room?

The bathroom is very tiny. The water temperature in the shower would suddenly get hot or cold. Sink is too small and no counter to put toiletries. Staff is very nice and hotel is very clean.

High quality and comfortable hotel

Lovely and interesting renovation of an old school building. Room was really comfortable and well appointed with high quality furnishings. Breakfast was lovely and again of a high quality. There was a small but decent gym. Only negative for us was that whilst the hotel does have a spa/ pool this was part of a facility which cost an additional £20euros entry for 2 hours access and had quite limited opening hours (i.e. not open pre breakfast and closed quite early in the evening) which made it not worthwhile for us on a one night stay. The hotel is walk from the centre of town which is a bit hilly on the return. Again not an issue for us but could be for some. - though think it was on a bus route. Overall though highly recommended
