The hotel has an elegant exterior and the rooms boast high ceilings. The parking is free and the situation is lovely as it overlooks the river and a lovely park. The rooms were decorated a la 50’s - dated, dingy. Steep steps to negotiate for my blind dog. Lovely staff.

Good hotel

Be aware, when it says checkin is at 3, the front door is locked until then. I had a reasonably spacious room looking out onto the square in front. Apart from a hanging rack the only drawer and shelf were taken up with spare bedding so nowhere to put clothes out of the suitcase. I glanced into a couple of other rooms and it may just have been a problem with my room. Good breakfast available in the courtyard which was secluded and quiet. Easy walk to the centre of town and lots of available cafes/restaurants close at hand.

I was quite negatively surprised when I checked in to this hotel. I don’t think the pictures corresponded to the reality and I was surprised that the reviews were so positive when my own experience was quite the opposite. In my eyes, my room and the common areas of the hotel, except for the updated reception area, were worn and shabby. I could clearly hear other quests in neighbouring rooms speak and as they passed in the corridor. The wooden floors in the corridor and stairs creaked and squeeked which was very disturbing. Luckily I found earplugs that helped so I could sleep. However, the staff was very nice and service-minded and the breakfast was good. And the rien was lovely!!

Det vÊrelse vi fik var okay, men ikke bedre end det. Sengene var utrolig hÄrde at ligge i. VÊrelset lugtede af skimmelsvamp, der var plamager pÄ vÊgge og loft efter potentielt vandskade/fugtskade. BadevÊrelset lugtede stÊrkt af fugt og der var lagt et mÊrkeligt gummi gulvtÊppe pÄ, som ogsÄ fÞltes fugtigt nÄr vi gik pÄ det med bare tÊer. Og for at toppe oplevelsen kravlede der en stor snegl ud under cisternen pÄ toilettet - hvor kom den fra??? Nej - vi kommer gerne tilbage til Chinon men det bliver ikke pÄ dette hotel.

Vieux et inconfortable

Quelle dĂ©ception! La premiĂšre chambre Ă©tait une chambre de bonne sous les toit sans clim, petite, pas super propre, salle de bain minimaliste. Mobilier extrĂȘmement vieux, tv minuscule au bout du lit tellement la chambre Ă©tait petite. Seconde chambre plus grande mais toujours aussi moche et le matelas Ă©tait tout dĂ©formĂ©, la porte ne pouvait pas se fermer. A 100€ la nuit pas Ă©tonnant que mes collĂšgues soient allĂ©s Ă  l’Ibis. Dans les 2 chambres je n’ai pas etait a l’aise une seconde.

Chambre pas insonorisée située dans une annexe sous les combles au second étage. Pas top pour des séniors. SDB avec baignoire et poutre au dessus. SÚche cheveux qui ne fonctionnait pas. Les photos du site montrait des photos de chambres plus confortables. Sinon hÎtel bien placé avec restaurant à cÎté.

Un bon sejour

Venue pour une épreuve sportive, l hÎtel est trÚs bien situé en plein centre ville Avec un grand parking. Les chambres sont confortables dans cet établissements ancien (parquet qui grince donc sûrement bruyant pour nos voisins quiz nous avons aussi entendu avec le réveil matinal pour votre marathon). Tout état propre, chambre et salle d eau. Le personnel est charmant et à l écoute.

Déçu cette fois-ci. La température dans la chambre était limite à l'arrivée. Pas de chauffage dans la salle de bain et plus de gel douche dans la douche. J'avais réservé une chambre avec un grand lit et on a eu 2 lits jumeaux.

Le Plantagenet est un hÎtel bien placé dans Chinon, le stationnement d'une voiture est facile et gratuit. Il a beaucoup du charme et l'équipement de la chambre que j'avais allait à l'essentiel et le plateau avec thé/café/infusion et bouilloire est appréciable. La literie est trÚs confortable, le petit déjeuner buffet est divers. Enfin le rapport qualité prix est trÚs interessant
