It was dirty, there was a bug in the bed, as well as many flies and moths in the room, there was no one at the desk whenever we needed someone, the staff was not helpful when we could get ahold of them, and the shower head wouldn’t stay up on the rack so it would just shoot water everywhere.

We were only in Switzerland for a couple of days as part of a larger trip but the Hotel Bären was ideally located to explore the Interlaken region and for hiking around Kandersteg. The views from our room were stunning and the area was quiet and relaxing. It is preferable to have a car when visiting as the hotel is 15 minutes or so up a relatively twisty road. The staff were friendly, check in/out was straightforward and the breakfast was really good!

This hotel is amazing. The village is quiet. The views are stunning and the room decoration is fabulous. Also Bogdan is doing a great job in the kitchen. Tip: book a room with a jacuzzi at the deck.

The view from our room is beautiful, but you better have car to go the hotel. Parking is 3CHF/day. Breakfast is okay. The room already renovated. Self check-in, the key already in an envelope with your name. Very easy.

Very quaint Swiss hotel! We loved it!! The breakfast was incredible and the view breathtaking. The bed was also very comfortable. We thought there was going to be a hot tub and self-service laundry but there wasn’t.

The property has a very good view of the mountains.. lots and lots of hiking trails, about 250 miles.. what we enjoyed most in our stay was the food! Mr. Bogda Constantine is the Cheff on site.. Amazing! Him and his wife were so wonderful together they bring value to this establishment! They were very attentive and sweet! Will definitely come back!

Public transportation is very bad to go to the hotel. I had to take 3 trains and a bus to go there from Interlaken.
