Unforgettable experience

We truly recommend this camp. They are very welcoming and friendly - make you feel like part of family. Nice location of the camp as bit secluded to give you the best experience of stargazing without the need to book any additional tours. Directly from your room you can also enjoy the sunrise :) food is also great and you can try local cuisine. South and north tours are also nicely organised, you can enjoy them at your own pace and without any rush. Unforgettable experience.

With Bedouins ways to do , From booking to the departure , everything is thinking to make guests happy and comfortable and have the best feeling . The owner gave us his full attention and was very hospitable. The rooms were clean, the bed very comfortable, the food was great, the location was out of this world. Loved the excursion in the desert and the drivers were experts in maneuvering the trucks in the sand. The views were breathless and the staff made us feel like family. Highly recommended!!!

Out of this world

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay here. Its us truly out of this world waking up to views of the desert. Eid was the perfect host and guide on an incredible tour of Wadi Rum and helping me conquer my fear of heights to climb Umm Ad Ami mountain.

What an amazing place! The owner was very hospitable, the bubbles are great, clean, comfortable and the area is so beautiful. You wake up to an amazing sunrise and see the most amazing sky at night. It is far away from the other camps and the road. You have the perfect Wadi Rum experience in a beautiful, family run camp with bathrooms, wifi etc. My kind of "camping." We were treated like a family and the service exceeded our expectations. We also booked a full day tour of Wadi Rum and it was awesome. We can highly recommend this place and will recommend it to our friends. We actually should have stayed longer.

I stayed at the camp this weekend and everything about it was amazing. Eid and his nephew Motaz made me feel so welcome. This is so much better than the other camps in the area, some of which are literally by the roads and crammed in. This is far away from others and you really get a good remote desert experience. I’m a vegetarian and the food was fantastic, and plenty of it! I did the jeep tour and camel tour which Eid organised. Eid and everyone else couldn’t do enough for me, and made me feel very welcome despite the fact I was travelling alone. If you want somewhere to stay in the area then choose this place, you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing experience

Amazing experiencie! The hotel is in a quiet and stunning place, far away from other crowded camps or the road, which makes it perfect! Eid and his nephew are amazing kind people who will take care of you and make your experience incredible! The rooms are large, the food is good, and the views are amazing!

Great personalized experince

We loved our time in Wadi Rum at the Wild Oryx Camp! We wish we had stayed longer than one night. Eid treats his guests like family and our experience was personalized and tailored to our preferences. Our daughter had a blast riding around in the truck on the tour and also getting to ride a camel for the first time. As a vegetarian, I was so pleased with the food available and everything was delicious. The bubble tents were spacious and tucked away, so it felt like you were literally the only ones in the desert. We look forward to going back and staying again one day!

It was wonderful. Eid -the owner gave us an orientation at his place where we left our car, and we left with Moutaz (hope im spelling correct :)) for the camp. As we arrived in the afternoon and we had only one night, we had our tour before reaching the camp. We were travelling with our 22 months old baby, and they made us feel very welcomed and suggested activities considering our limitations. In the camp there were 5 bubbles and its natural stargazing without paying for it when you take your chairs outside. Or seat in the seating area in front of the restaurant area. Ramadan who made the food and service was very kind and responsive. The bubbles were clean and had all what u needed for. We enjoyed our time a lot. Very much recommended.

Simply amazing!!

We had a great stay, we arrived to a very warm welcome from Eid and his uncle. We were given serval tour options then taken to the camp. The bubble tent was very clean and spacious, our view was gorgeous. No time was wasted and we enjoyed a jeep tour of wadi rum, which finished with drinking tea on a sand dune whilst watching the sunset. Breakfast and dinner were Included and delicious. I could not recommend this enough!!!! The camp is quiet and private, and you can go to sleep watching the stars and wake up to a beautiful sunrise

Great stay!

We had such an amazing time here! The staff literally go out of the way to make sure you are enjoying yourself. We booked a 4 hour jeep tour and it was plenty of time to explore Wadi Rum. The stars at nighttime are fantastic! Super remote and a unique hotel to stay in. 10/10 and would love to come back one day

Before our stay, Eid - the owner of the camp - got in touch to give detailed descriptions of the activities on offer, and to find out exactly what my partner and I wanted from our trip. Upon arrival in Wadi Rum we were treated by Eid & his nephew (who also works at the camp), Ata, who bought us snacks at the local market. We were then welcomed into Eid’s home where he explained the details of the camp and the excursions we’d be doing. Then, we were taken into the desert to the camp itself. Location: nestled between two protruding bits of mountain, the camp is secluded. You have everything you need on site so the remoteness isn’t an issue; you’re in a serene part of the Wadi Rum desert which offers amazing views and incredible star gazing with no light pollution. Bubble tents: comfortable, great size, nice bathroom with private toilet and shower. Clean, effective air conditioning and an incredible view from the big windows. The excursions: Eid and his team (family) will help you organise everything, from jeep tours of both key areas of Wadi Rum (4+ hrs each), to hot air balloon rides. You need at least two nights to enjoy the true beauty of Wadi Rum. The staff: we were accompanied on jeep tours by members of Eid’s family; in our case, namely Ata and Marwan. They were enthusiastic, knowledgable about the area and made us feel as though we were getting a truly authentic tour of the area. The food: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared on site and served FRESH every day.

Excellent stay

We had a wonderful night staying at the Wild Oryx Camp. Eid gave us such a warm welcome and organised a jeep tour for the afternoon we arrived. The bubble tents were wonderful and it was brilliant to watch the sunrise from bed in the morning. Dinner and breakfast was provided and it was delicious. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Genuinely one of the best experiences of my two weeks in Jordan! Eid made you feel like a member of the family straight away! We were so sad to leave. This camp was perfect for us, quiet, we spent hours just gazing at stars outside our pod! I highly recommend this camp! I feel like I have family in Jordan now!

Amazing hospitality!

We booked this on very short notice, and I am glad we did! Eid, his nephew Motaz, and his whole team are extremely kind, sweet, and welcoming. It´s nice to be able to be flexible...we were extremely tired after our drive to Wadi Rum and didn´t want to do a long desert tour as recommended by Eid. Instead, Motaz drove us to the three best stops in the desert on the way to the camp and then picked us up again for a short sunset drive. The bubbles are in a remote location and have everything you need; we loved that you can see so many stars at night. The dinner/breakfast was elaborate and so delicious, you just feel like you are staying with their family. I loved that Eid even brought a birthday cake for my husband (I only mentioned it once in a text message), it was such a sweet gesture and perfectly sums up the outstanding hospitality. Communication before and during the stay is very fast and helpful. I can´t recommend Wild Oryx enough if you are looking for a small, personal, and very welcoming camp.

I stayed with my girlfriend for one night. It was the best stay we’ve had since arriving in Jordan — we were treated like a King and Queen. Before we even arrived, they waited for us along the road to make it easier to reach the camp. As soon as we got there, they welcomed us with lunch. The bubbles were spotless and we had our own privacy, as they were lined up next to each other (unlike other camps where the bubbles are all crowded together), and the view was beautiful. Later, after choosing our tour, my girlfriend and I had booked an activity that we eventually decided not to do. Even though they had already paid for it on our behalf, they didn’t ask us to reimburse them. Special thanks to Motaz, the best guide we could’ve had in the desert! Special people in a special place.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Wild Oryx Camp in Wadi Rum recently, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. From the breathtaking landscapes of the desert to the warmth and hospitality of the host Eid, everything was exceptional. Eid and his family truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with genuine kindness and enthusiasm. His nephew Mutaz gave us an excellent tour of the desert, taking us from spots to spots to get the best view of the sprawling landscape. We watched the sunset at a remote location where he arranged to light up fire and made tea for us. Syed prepared an excellent dinner for us and took care of anything we needed during our stay. Eid's camp consists of only 4 bubble/tents and is located in the middle of the desert, far away from the other camps- this made the experience even more fascinating. If you are looking for an unforgettable stay in Wadi Rum, I cannot recomment this camp enough. The stunning desert scenery is reason enough to vist, but the hospitality of Eid truly sets this place apart. We left feeling like we had made a friend and can't wait to return someday!
