Barbara, the concierge was amazing. She responded to questions immediately. Instructions for getting into the apartment were perfect and clear. The whole building, room and amenities were perfect and thoughtful. The kitchen had more than we needed. Apartment was very clean. Bed was super comfy. The infinity pool was AMAZING! The view of the city from the roof was worth it all. The location couldnt have been better. The historic San Jpse downtown was a block from the apartment. A walk to the beach was about 15 minutes. The receptionists were awesome. So friendly.

We had a great stay at Lumina. It was close to all the action down town and a pretty easy walk to the beach and groceries. The place was clean and full featured. The roof top pool was a great place to hang out even if it wasn't hot enough for us to brave the pool for swimming. I would definitely come back here again!

New Apt in a great location. There aren’t hotel services if you need that. They are still working the kinks out of the building and I never did get warm water. They told me to just run the shower but running water in a desert for 20 minutes seemed a waste. All said great location and value though.

I was on a solo trip for business. The apartment was modern and well-equipped. Comfortable bed, nice sofa tv, the kitchen had all i needed to make a basic meal. The owners have put nice personal touches on the property - i loved all the photos of the local area. The rooftop pool is gorgeous - great to chill at. There is a rooftop gym area which was great for a sunrise workout. Lots of restaurants, cafes & shops right on the doorstep. I would stay at Lumina again!

Directions to the place were bad . Sent us to wrong location. We had to rent a hotel the night we arrived for 169.00 dollars . We tried numerous times to contact the owner no one answered. The next morning we searched for another hour and finally found the place. The place is nice am disappointed we had to rent a hotel the first night.

Loved having a secure building with a concierge desk. The rooftop pool was a dream; great facilities. A small negative was if was in the came block as a urgent care clinic (small hospital) and at times sirens were noticable, however the plus to this location is that it's under 2 blocks from the town square with a police presence; made you feel safe walking around.

Very comfortable, modern apartment less than 2 blocks from the central square. The staff is friendly & helpful. The pool deck has great views. It is easy to walk to everything in the old two, and only 15 minutes to walk to the beach. Lots of shops, restaurants, galleries. The only thing not really available locally is groceries - for that you need to go back up to Route 1, which is a solid 30 minute walk (or pick up a taxi 1 block over from the apartment building). We would stay here again.

The Lumina is a really nice place to stay. The reason i didnt give 5 stars is because for a one bedroom unit, they say theres a "pull-out" couch. There is not. There is a very short convertible couch that folds down. No mattress. So unless you are 4 feet tall, your legs will not fit because of the armrests. It was incredibly frustrating to assume there'd be a proper pullout couch with an actual mattress for an adult guest, and then realize a short couch was all that was available. They do not clean your room automatically unless requested. We stayed for 2 weeks and did not have our room cleaned. We had to request fresh towels and toilet paper often. Not a huge deal, but just something to note. Everything else was great. If they exchanged the couch situation, would be 5 stars.
