My stay felt like extremely elevated camping, in the best way. The ecolodge is farther from São Filipe than I expected, but that ended up being a positive. It was peaceful and a welcome break from the hustle of the city.
The views are incredible. From the front of the cabin, you look out over the ocean, and from the back, a massive mountain. On clear nights, I could even see Brava. I stayed in December and found the environment comfortable and calm.
There were a few spiders outside, but very few bugs inside. I used the mosquito net just in case and didn’t encounter any issues. The food was a standout. Breakfast and dinner were consistently delicious, with fresh fruits, vegetables, great protein options, and a vegetarian option every day.
You’ll hear roosters and chickens, which I personally found relaxing. Overall, I really enjoyed this stay and would absolutely recommend it for anyone seeking a quiet, nature-focused experience with amazing views and excellent food.
