This is an extraordinary place to stay. Utterly beautiful views at all times, in all directions. The walk through vineyards and olive groves into Vinci is a pleasure, and the little town is a lovely example of Tuscany, with added interest of Leonardo. Easy to reach Pisa, Siena, Florence, San Gimingnano and the Ligurian coastal towns by car from here. Surrounding countryside and villages just stunning, especially along the Montebalno ridge. The accommodation was immaculate and fully equipped. The staff were helpful and friendly. The farm workers unobtrusive. And we loved the resident horses, too.. Breakfast was delicious but veey Italian - all coffee and cake - so not really to our tastes. Unlike the wines, which were lovely (their reds are better than their whites). We cannot praise this place enough. Go!

Alguns problemas na chegada, a indicação do Waze me levou a uma estrada secundária, de terra. Mas havia outro acesso não identificado inicialmente pelo Waze. Pode ser difícil chegar se for a noite. Porém, após chegada o check in foi rápido, quarto confortável. O ponto alto da hospedagem foi o jantar: restaurante ótimo, comida saborosa e com ótimo custo-benefício

Il Piastrino—a Jewel in Vinci

We needed a place to stay in or near Vinci for the night before our 3 week stay in a nearby villa began. Il Piastrino looked lovely and was VERY well priced. And it was exceptionally nice—from the spacious, charming rooms (surprise—we had a kitchen), the delicious breakfast, to the warm and welcoming staff. We arrived very late toward the end of a busy pris fixe am fresco dinner service but we were settled in and set at ease. And yes, we returned a few days later for the al fresco dining. Wow. There were at least a dozen antipasto platters to Shea, mane ten selections and finally bistecca du Fiorentino. The house wines were excellent—so excellent that we returned three or four times to purchase more and chat in our broken Italian with the owner. I would make a special trip back to Vinci to stay at Il Piastrino. The only drawback—which was a Google maps issue—is that Il Piastrino is a challenge for jet-lagged drivers arriving at midnight to find. It was totally worth being lost to finally find it!

Bellissimo posto confortevole la struttura, ottimo cibo, l'unica pecca i rumori della cucina per la preparazione della colazione, e della maleducazione di certi ospiti, che urlano fuori dalle stanze. Consiglierei un cartello dove si ricorda a chi soggiorna nella struttura di evitare schiamazzi alle prime ore del mattino. Per tutto il resto tutto molto positivo.

Good place to get away from it all

The apartment was very spacious.It was nice to have a terrace to sit out on in the evening! We decided to eat in the restaurant and made a reservation but, due to communication issues, short staff and a party going on we left after the first course.

Gute Lage aber nicht ohne Störgeräusche

Eine sehr gut gelegene Unterkunft im Olivenhein mit angeschlossener Gaststätte am Abend . Der angepriesene Pool ist aber immer durch eine Familie mit Kindern belegt. Fällt also zur Erfrischung aus. Das dazu gehörige Restaurant am Abend ist total von Einheimischen gefüllt. Wir haben es eimal genutzt gute handgemachte Küche in Menüform. Leider sehr laut bis in die späten Abendstunden. Frühstück sehr süß Kuchen , und nochmals Kuchen.

***Outstanding Experience at Il Piastrino****

Picturesque, third generation farmhouse of Daniela and her warm, inviting family and staff. Outstanding location in Vinci, the hometown of genius Leonardo da Vinci. Comfortable, well-appointed rooms with kitchen, two beds, beautiful views of the garden. Everything was cozy and clean. Daniela greeted us as we arrived and set the tone for an extremely enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!

Very beautiful agriturismo

This is the nicest hotel/agriturismo I have been. In this place we had the opportunity to experience the real Tuscany rather than the classic touristic one. They also have a restaurant where they serve local and traditional food. I will definitely go back there.

Esperienza positiva. E' la seconda volta che sono al Piastrino ed è sempre tutto ok. Viaggiato per lavoro ma penso di ritornarci con la famiglia. Camere pulite e spaziose, pace e immersi nel verde, cucina buona (ottima la carne). Nulla da eccepire per un agriturismo. Bravi
