This was our second stay at this beautiful hotel, and we can definitely recommend it. This time around we did feel that the service was a little inconsistent - it was generally good, with the exception of one receptionist who made us feel unwelcome more than once during our 11 days long stay. Our overall experience was still great due to the rest of the staff. The manager, Javier, really went above and beyond to make our stay amazing.

It's a very cute boutique hotel. The building has a lot of history. Comfy bed, great water pressure and I really loved that they have steamer for clothes instead of iron and iron board! Amenities are very good. Even their mini bar with snacks are reasonable priced. Location is great, however I recommend renting a car as Sunset Boulevard isn't for walking. Daily parking garage with security is $30, can't complain about it. However it's not mentioned when we booked over hotels.com. Staff is lovely, welcoming and friendly. Housekeeping is great too! I'd definitely come back again.

Funky hotel - appreciate the age is part of the appeal, but don’t expect all glitz and glamour…. Orange mould in shower, 4 person room booked and only two towels - had to request additional. No housekeeping unless you request apparently… key didn’t work second day, advised you need to reset keys everyday - never come across this before Pool was feral - I’m talking clumps of hair floating around, old used towels left around the area Parking is great Overpriced for what you receive - definitely do better, and the area is bad. Close to attractions, walk of stars etc - but take your life in your hands stepping outside….

This is lovely, smallish hotel located a half block from Hollywood High. Rooms are spacious, as is the area around the very nice pool in the courtyard. Staff is very friendly and efficient. I would’ve wished that the bar stayed open a little later at night and that they served something besides croissants and muffins for breakfast, but that’s a minor issue, since there are good restaurants within walking distance, including a nine minute walk to Mel’s diner. I loved this two-story hotel with lots of character and would definitely stay here again.
