Stayed at this hotel during a visit to Heide Park. Chosen for its low price and decent appearance online, but the actual experience was disappointing.
The hotel is very outdated and poorly maintained. Common areas and rooms show clear signs of wear—faded carpets, damaged furniture, dim lighting, and an overall neglected feel. The website photos are misleading and do not reflect the current condition.
Our room was not properly cleaned: cobwebs on the ceiling, dusty shelves, and broken tiles in the bathroom. It felt like it hadn’t been deep-cleaned or refreshed in a long time.
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. While the waiter was friendly and service was fast, he appeared unprofessional—worn-out clothes and poor hygiene, including dirty nails. The food was below average: the schnitzel lacked flavor, tasted of old oil, and the hollandaise sauce contained dried estragon. Portions were large, but the quality didn’t match the price.
Breakfast was reasonable for the rate. The staff kept the buffet stocked and the area tidy.
Staff were generally polite, but the overall service level was low. The hotel may suffice for a quick night’s sleep and basic breakfast, but don’t expect comfort or value beyond that. There are better options in the area, even just for a bed and a shower.
