Standard hotel with good breakfast

All hotels in the area seem to be expensive. This is a huge hotel with hundreds(?) of rooms. Room was OK, bed comfortable, bathroom very standard and OK. A few chips and scrapes on the doors and furniture but nothing to worry about. Coffee in room not availble but I asked to borrow a kettle and one arrived. Reasonably close to ferry terminal (walkable). Carpark under hotel is dark and spooky but enough spaces. Breakfast was good.

The Grand Hotel is abundant in everything 😍 great location, a 5-10 mins walk to ferry port (usually amalfi coast boats i.e. Travelmar). Centrally located to everything such as beach & town centre. Lovely walk to Lungomare Promenade!

Albergo mooooolto fatiscente e con un gran numero di camere, improntato sul gestire grandi numeri di persone e che quindi perde di qualità. Arredamento scarno e poco curato, letto scomodo e problemi con laria condizionata , hanno reso il soggiorno un mezzo incubo facendomi vivere la camera solo come posto dove tornare a dormire (male).

La struttura è un po’ datata ma è bella e si trova a due passi dal centro di Salerno e a un passo da una bella spiaggia e da un bellissimo lido. PROS: the location was a great! Restaurants, shopping, beaches and train station all within walking distance. We reserved a room with a balcony facing the sea. We even had 2 washrooms! The room itself did not disappoint. CONS: When we arrived to our room, we noticed several little bugs flying around.. and there were not flies. We informed the dront desk of this iasue and assured us it would be taken care
