The staffs were courteous and pleasant. Free drink and coffee provided. The rooms are a bit clean. Beds are comfy. It's a safe neighborhood. Not many choices of restaurants and stores are within a walking distance. However, the place is satisfactory.

8/10 Very good

The good: The staff are nice and helpful, the AC works really well, and they have cold and hot water as well as coffee available at the lobby at all times. The bad: depending on the room, it can be noisy due to traffic, the toilet seats don't have enough room to sit comfortably since they face the wall with only inches of leg room, and the Internet can be unreliable

The staff is exceptional at this property! It is a very basic room, and the bathroom is very small with no shower curtain in the king size bedroom. There is a safe in the room. But no refrigerator. They do, however let you use theirs, as well as the microwave. Always fresh coffee every morning. Nancy at the desk will do anything she can to help you. She was amazing! This sits on a bus line and the streets are very crowded all the time! It is a quick six block walk to the main Square. They do have a nice size patio on the second floor, however, rude loud guests kept us up a couple of nights! We stayed 16 nights.

10/10 Exceptional

The rooms are very sparse. Comfy big bed, TV with netflix, prime etc that we used once. The bathroom is tight and the shower has no door so tossing down a towel is needed. The staff were AWESOME THOUGH!!! There are convenience stores nearby, lots of fresh water on demand (free), a fridge and freezer available if needed, laundry service for longer stays. Located close to the main city square where, it seems, there is always something happening. Merida is a good home base for many outings to ancient ruins or cool cenotes. The hotel was all we needed for our base. It is certainly not 5 star but I would recommend it for those who just need a safe base from which to operate.
Norman, 9-night trip

8/10 Very good

The staff was very nice and helpful. But I do believe the rooms could use some upgrades: the bathroom doesn’t have not even one hook to hang towels, not the hand towel or shower towel, which is not convenient at all. The room is also missing a full body mirror, cause it only has a tiny one in the bathroom. It would also be nice to have a shelf in the bathroom to put some toiletries. There’s only very small space next to the sink, which is definetely not enough. Also a glass or a cup to put the toothbrush. As for everything else, I loved that there was a water cooler to refill bottles, and the location is amazing.
Jessica Contreras, 6-night trip

4/10 Fair

The bathroom is by far the smallest I have ever seen, by far! Sitting on the toilet is nearly impossible. When taking a shower EVERY THING in the bathroom gets wet since there is no wall or curtain. Area is very old and not safe to walk around in at night. On our last day someone knocked on the door and informed us that we were not allowed to leave due to a wreck in the parking lot. He claimed to be the police and said that if we left the hotel we would be shot. Seemed very suspicious that he targeted the Americans room. And the front desk clerk acted like he didn't know the guy was in the building despite watching the security cameras. Will never stay here or anywhere even close to thia hotel in the future. Stay in North Merida it is beautiful and safe.

6/10 Good

I wouldn’t stay here tbh

They made a mistake with the pricing, we made a reservation at that time. They never even contacted us to tell us they couldn’t respect the price. By the time we got to the city we called and they argued that my reservation was cancelled, which it wasn’t. I found it so unprofessional. We had to look for another hotel ASAP. It is not the clients fault if they made a mistake with the price and they must respect it because it was purchased. Either way it is located in a horrible street with not a single soul walking by at night, could be dangerous. Also, there’s only 1 restaurant right in front of the hotel, and it’s not that great.
