Big Bear generally has some low-end rustic (meaning rundown) dated properties. Sessions breaks that mold. My room was updated to be more modern. Felt more spacious and was decorated in a really cool manner. Think Austin Powers! The staff was terrific and the facilities were really nice. There was a really nice clean pool and there's a nice hangout area with fire pits. I would say sessions is the best place in Big Bear I've stayed at yet by far.

City style Meets Mountain Life

This hotel is our new favorite spot! It's the low key vibes of adult summer camp, but with all the style and comfort of a NYC four-star hotel! Beautiful, photogenic rooms; sensitive eye for detail in all the decor; and fun nooks and finds around the property, from tether ball, to pickle ball, to a pool, to hanging hammocks, and a beautiful mini hike. I'd recommend this to any couple, single, or family looking for a retreat in the forest that offers that perfect balance between city comfort, and outdoorsy fun. Impressed enough to write my first review on here!
