Like stepping back in time to an era of full custom service. Hand prepared charcuterie board in the room with a bottle of champagne on arrival, grab and go snacks and drinks, happy hour cocktail and snacks, late night pie, and friendly smiles. Honestly haven’t seen that in decades. Why stay in SLO when this is right down the road in a splendid coastal setting.

Amazing Stay! The staff at Avila La Fonda Hotel were incredible—so friendly and welcoming. We loved the homemade croissants in the morning and the pie and ice cream in the evening. Beautiful rooms just steps from the beach, with great food spots nearby. Highly recommend!

Adorable spanish style hotel just a block from the beach, with extras like daily wine receptions, breakfast, beer and salsa in the afternoon and pie for dessert in the evening. Nice roomy jacuzzi tub. Wish the toilets weren't so low to the ground (kinder on the knees for your older clients). Dining and shopping options just outside the front door. Beautiful beach with little crowds.

This is a very charming small hotel (maybe 30 or so rooms?), kept in immaculate condition, and staffed by some of the friendliest people you could ever hope to meet. They went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The area is very scenic, and there are numerous stores and restaurants for those so inclined. We will definitely be back !

The croissants, snacks, wine and cheese and the pies! The hotel atmosphere and comfortable rooms and the proximity to the beach are great. The restaurant choices are limited in the immediate area (Pismo has more to offer if you want that). We have been to La Fonda several times and would go back again for sure!
