My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Mayfair twice during our trip to the South Island of New Zealand, once at the beginning and again at the end of our journey. This hotel is absolutely a gem! The property is new, which is always a plus, and the rooms are spacious and equipped with comfy beds and a kitchenette, making it perfect for both short and extended stays. The amenities were modern and well-maintained, contributing to a very pleasant experience. What truly made our stay exceptional was the friendly staff. I want to give a special shoutout to Zoila, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming. Her warm demeanor made us feel right at home. When we returned for our second stay, it felt like we were coming back to a familiar place, and the warm welcome we received made all the difference. Overall, we highly recommend The Mayfair for anyone visiting Christchurch. The combination of comfort, convenience, and outstanding service makes it a standout choice. We can’t wait to return!

This is a newer property and it has all the features and amenities expected for a comfortable and restful stay. For example the bathroom lighting and mirrors have multiple settings, and outlets included USB and USBC plugs. Easy to find and parking is simple. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the city center, but there are plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute walk including Vics across the street. The city bus also goes by as well - easy to use the system, but you need cash if you don't have a bus card, and they give change. Definitely recommend and would stay there again!
