I stayed at Maritim Marina Bay Resort SPA & Casino for several nights and truly regret the decision. While the beach location is scenic, the rest of the experience fell far below professional hospitality standards.
On my second night, I was unexpectedly asked to downgrade my room, which is unacceptable after check-in. The hotel clearly does not favor third-party bookings like Hotels.com and attempts to push guests toward higher direct rates.
Worse, the receptionist offered personal services through local contacts, which was completely inappropriate. The Guest Relations team lacked proper training and did not resolve concerns professionally. Despite repeated requests, the General Manager refused to meet or engage, which reflects extremely poor leadership.
Rooms are outdated, staff are not guest-focused, and service across the property lacks consistency. I do not recommend this hotel and will certainly not return.
