We like this hotel. It is homey and cozy and is in a good location if you have friends or business in the area. We were not able to try the restaurant (it used to be fabulous) because on the Sunday morning we were there the restaurant opens at 9 am and closed at 10 am. Then open at 10:30 again! What restaurant anywhere, especially in a hotel does that! Very disappointing. We went elsewhere.

This was my second stay at the Ayres Hotel. It’s very clean, comfortable, the staff are friendly, and there is now a nice little market they have where you can purchase drinks, snacks, phone accessories, and travel-size personal care items. The only negative experience was we went two days without housekeeping stopping by to pickup the trash and replenish the towels. We always keep the trash tied up and placed on the table and the used towels on top of the chair for their convenience, and no DND sign was left on the door. Still, Ayres Hotel (Manhattan) is my favorite and I look forward to staying there again during my next visit!
