Staff were nice, however the room was not adequate. There were dark stains on the white shower curtain, and the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Dark stains on moulding in bathroom and the tub had rust marks in it! The rest of the room appeared clean. We had an emergency and had to leave hotel a day early. They would not consider a refund or a partial refund. Not recommending this hotel.
Sandra, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Staff were quick to respond when we identified a plumbing issue and assigned us a second room. Our queen room was quite spacious and nicely decorated. They are in the process of upgrading the rooms, with our bathroom being recently retiled. We did report an issue with a power bar and they appreciated us letting them know. It seems that a fair number of construction workers stay here, but it was very quiet as they stayed between shifts The complimentary breakfast had many healthy options, with a hot side bar as well.a The motel was not far off Highway 11 and the town is quite lovely

The rooms were clean. Only issue was phone didn't work, TV remote was missing. Something to think about, toilets were really low, mobility issues can make it hard to get up from low toilets.

It’s cheap and is near a Tim Hortons and grocery store. They have clean rooms and provide breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was super nice and helpful. The lobby bar was lively and fun. The bed was comfortable and our dogs were welcome. No complaints at all.
Rachel, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

Our room needed repairs to the towel rack, blow dryer, and slow sink. Every door in the hotel must’ve needed repairs as well, we could hear them rubbing against the frame every time they were opened and closed, and they slammed shut every time. The carpet stunk like dirty feet, and the room was quite dusty. If we could’ve stayed elsewhere we would’ve. The staff that checked us in was super nice and friendly, so was the cleaning staff.
Christine, 2-night trip

Location is good, young lady working breakfast was very nice. Rooms were updated but quality of renovations was poor. Loose floor tiles and bathroom door didn't close.

Was quiet, young lady at front desk was very pleasant. Great job to her. Nice clean hotel. Mattresses could use a change very hard.
Stacy, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was in a handy location to shops and travel. Price was good. Rooms adequate for short stay, clean but had an odour which may be coming from carpet. Overall it was good.
Nancy, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The Kirkland Lake Super 8 Hotel has made noticeable strides with its recent room upgrades, which now feature a more modern and comfortable design. While it doesn't boast five-star amenities, the improvements make it a solid choice for a short stay. Ideal for single or couple-night visits, it offers good value with its clean, updated rooms and convenient location. Perfect for travelers seeking a budget-friendly option without sacrificing basic comfort.
