2/10 Poor

Parking was fine, and the person at the front desk was very polite. However, the room I was given was in extremely poor condition. There was writing on the wall, holes in the chairs, a broken toilet, and stains on the sheets. Unfortunately, the front desk did not offer to switch rooms or address the issues. I’m not sure how they can expect guests to stay in rooms like that, especially while charging full price. I hope they fix it, as it's not intended to slam the place, but hopefully, they will be forced to do better.

If you are looking for a location to shoot a movie set in a down and out motel, this would be perfect. It’s really a shame because it could be very sweet. It’s well situated near down town, walking trails and can walk to restaurants. The cabins and grounds could be very pleasant to hang out at if they weren’t so hammered.

Perfect rest!

It was short stay but they were VERY accommodating and helpful. We only stayed 6 hours or so but it served its purpose! Comortable and clean. Not a 5 star resort but very family camping feel to it. I will stay again when in the area. Looks like some long term residents are there so people are keeping it up and safe!

Close to the Yuba River

Basic, clean rooms in a really great location. They are very close to the best vegetarian place in town (Fudenjuce) and close to the most amazing river, the Yuba.

Great Experience

Nevada city inn was awesome. Easy Location and easy to find. Manager there was so nice. I will be def staying there again.
Gary, 5-night trip

6/10 Good

The building is old and although it is clean and well kept it is not in good condition. The bathroom was smelling of mildew or mold and the wood window frame is rottening. There was a noisy outburst at one of the rooms which the hotel staff did a good job of cleaning up.
Anne, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Two of us stayed overnight for business. We rented the two-room cottage. A very enjoyable change from our usual hotel. The manager was very pleasant and gave us a fantastic recommendation for a restaurant within easy walking distance. I highly recommend the cabin/cottages.
Brett, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

This property is adequate, but not good or great. It's clean and the bed was comfortable. And the price is right. But do not expect much beyond that.
Donald, 2-night trip

Did not feel safe staying there. We went somewhere else. Recommend Expedia NOT recommend this accomodation.

This is a basic motel that has not been kept up. The price was reasonable but this place is really a bit of a dump. The guy who checked me in was nice and efficient though.

6/10 Good

This inn is a cute inn for staying a a night on a road trip. They don't price gouge with taxes and fees and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service. A short 5-10 minute walk from a wel stocked grocery store, comedy night, restaraunts, etc. The room we stayed in is well loved and needs a fresh coat of paint/caulking, etc. and attention to more of the deep cleaning items. AC was amazing.

The property is just so rundown and old improvements definitely need to be made. The bathrooms, especially are seriously in need of help. The bathrooms are Cold and dingy, mine had what looked like a pretty good size blood stain on the floor. However, the price was right; you get what you pay for. When we travel, we always need two rooms so we would definitely stay again because it’s what we can afford. My room smelled very clean and I felt safe. It was quiet at night and you are surrounded by beautiful trees. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Definitely do not look for frills or extras at this location.

3 night stay - Visiting Family

This is an older property and the rooms reflect this. The beds were comfortable and clean. It was fine for us as we spent most of our time with family. The owner/manager was very helpful and friendly. We were in the end room and the Wi-Fi was weak there. He offered us another room but we chose to stay put. We could easily walk to the gazebo or just a bit toward the office to use Wi-Fi. It worked fine for us but it’s certainly not the Ritz.

True feedback

The hotel is an older clean and cozy surrounded by trees very quiet area the manager is extremely polite and caring he wants to assure you have a comfortable stay, the room had everything required for a nice comfortable stay it is not the Ritz it is a decent hotel without the Ritz pricing. Unfortunately some people have left false negative reviews with this hotel, I have no relation or connection with this property. I will return for another stay when in the area.

A favorite tradition

I come to Nevada City three times a year to perform in the Gold Country World Dance Showcase, and I always stay at the Nevada City Inn. The location is very convenient to the theater, and there is a wonderful organic sandwich and smoothie shop a block down the street, called Fudenjuice. The inn and the neighborhood are always quiet, the rooms are clean, the water is hot, the beds are comfortable, and I really don't need anything else. This last visit I stayed in the Hard Rock cottage, which has a big gazebo right in front and another one on the side, and a nearby BBQ grill, very nice for enjoying a warm evening. I like to walk around the neighborhood after the show and look at the brilliant stars.
Sherry, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The checkin went fine. Desk clerk was very friendly. BUT, the property and grounds was run down and dirty. When I opened the door to the cottage I rented, a musty, stale smell overwhelmed me. I took the key back and asked for a refund. The clerk said she was unable to refund my purhcase since I booked through Expedia. She showed me another room, supposedly newer and in better condition. This one was just as bad, and I did my best to be polite when I said I just couldn't stay in a place this dirty.
