Mama Shelter Roma is an all around great place to stay on Rome. Steps from Capri Metro station gives you access to all the main sites. The Vatican is only a 15-20 minute walk. The area around the hotel is very quiet with everything you need, ie restaurants, pharmacy, supermarkets, laundry services and even a barbershop. The hotel staff was professional and very attentive to our needs. The restaurant is ok but the rooftop bar had great food and drinks. with a very cool vibe at night. We had breakfast everyday of our stay due to its convenience before heading out to explore. Breakfast was nothing special but served its purpose. Overall, fantastic stay. Will definitely return if our travels bring us back to Rome.

Nice rooms and nice rooftop - but the breakfast was very crowded and there was not sufficient staff to refill the buffet - especially very basic items like bread was empty. I made a request for birthday reservation for breakfast the staff said we will make it happen but in fact it didn't work out. In general a good hotel if you have no special requests and just need a nice room.
