Happy in Hamburg

I went to conference and the hotel was close by. It’s located near everything central in Hamburg. The valet service is comprehensive and front of house staff are very attentive in regards to taking care of taxis and welcoming you to the hotel. Check in staff are all friendly and fun. The rooms are very European and basic styling but they are generously proportioned and well cleaned. In fact, the cleanliness was very high. This is a good hotel, it won’t disappoint.

A five star hotel.

A very pleasant five star hotel. Quiet surroundings, polite, correct and friendly staff. Very nice and clean room. Beautiful, spacious lobby with cafe, bar and piano in afternoon/evening. Perfect for coffe, snacks and atmosphere. In my opinion one of the best hotels in Germany.

Nice quiet location, but service could be better.

Nice, large rooms and nice quiet location. But, service defintely could be better for a five star hotel. Our rooms were not ready at check in time and no compensation offered + they forgot to clean both of our rooms (we asked for cleaning at 2.30pm). Missing possibility to make coffee and tee in the room or at least in the hall way.

Clean and cosy room with carpets on the floor and with furnitures in yellow colors mixed with wood. I liked the vibe. Both classy, relaxing and luxurious. Staff was nice and sweet. Only one thing to point my finger at - when getting breakfast you also get a "receipt" to sign, even though breakfast was included. I never found out exactly what it was. Maybe tips? And it would be nice with an explanation, instead of just leaving it at the table and walk away. Nevertheless this is the hotel i will go to again, when visiting Hamburg next time. The spa department was so nice. But i would be nice if you could go there with your kids after 18 😊

This is a beautiful hotel with some lovely restaurants (albeit expensive) in a very nice area. Walking distance around 15 minutes to the main area of the city. Staff at the front desk were helpful but the checkin person was slightly abrupt/not very smiley! The room was very nice only downsides were the TV had only a few English channels and these were news, the options to use your own TV accounts were helpful but the connection was really slow and programs kept buffering which was frustrating. No kettle or coffee machine in the room was really disappointing for a 5 star hotel, seems to be a way of forcing you to order room service which was extremely expensive. Buffet breakfast was good, very busy on the weekend but still received good service. The spa was lovely, enjoyed a very good massage and the pool facilities, pool was extremely busy with lots of young children on the Friday afternoon which wasn’t very enjoyable, other times it was nice and peaceful. Be warned the sauna area is no clothes!!! Overall a lovely stay just a few points to improve on.
