We stayed for 7 nights while visiting relatives and hiking and it was affordable and clean. All staff members I talked to were very helpful and friendly.

The staff was kind enough to allow a late check-out under the circumstances of our visit for a funeral. It was a very generous motion.

Decent for price
Good for the price. Not good for handicapped. No elevator and steep stairs. The desk clerk was rude when i told her i had requested 1st floor.

We visited the International Peace Gardens in the afternoon and did not feel like driving back home. I did reserve the motel earlier just in case. We had excellent accommodations.

This was one of the quietest places I've ever stayed. The king bed was very comfy and the room was clean.
There was some scent in the room that I was reactive to--it smelled like maybe the stuff you sprinkle on carpets and then vacuum up. It was not the bedding or the towels; they must be washed in unscented detergent. I don't know why hotels can't understand to use NO scented products--so many people are allergic to them!

No staff at front desk upon arrival. Directions to call them on the phone that was sitting on the counter. No answer!!
I did not like the fact that they refused to give me a copy of the receipt that I signed.

2/10 Poor

Lack of stars is due to the state of air quality in my room. Some kind of carpet freshener was used and as I turned the heater on the scent was over powering to the point where my eyes were burning. I should have just left! Front desk were only helpful in identifying what the scent was, and had only smiles for my predicament. I have emailed the manager twice to ask for a refund or even acknowledgement of my complaint and have received no response. I will not stay there again! I left with red-rimmed eyes and a sore throat. No further apology requested. And no I will not retract this review. Stay at your own risk as this is an honest review. I’ll stay at the hotel next door thanks.

Bottineau is a small town and there are only 3 hotel choices within the town limits, so the prices are way over priced for the value.
I grew up there and people generally take pride in cleanliness, but this hotel did not reflect this. It is advertised as a non-smoking facility, but it smelled of smoke from the moment I walked into the building. The carpet had food crumbs, small paper pieces and need to be vacuumed. The towels are thin and I found it strange that the ironing board cover was left for the customer to put on if needed to be used.
I will say that there were many options for breakfast, but I had to get an extra trash bag from under the sink because the original bag was overflowing and no one was around to clean it up. The entire facility seemed crunching and wouldn’t stay again.
