It is a nice property with an Austrian feeling.
Diana, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Good service, fair rate, nice grounds. The rooms are small and sparse but perfect for home base as you step out in the morning and return after dinner. Location is great - close to the center of town, trails and the river is right behind the property. Free breakfast is great, pool was clean and the vibe chill.
Rory, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Enjoyed our quick stay, the flower beds are beautiful. Older building and they have worked to keep the vintage furniture and decor. It is true to the time frame and nice to see. Breakfast process was difficult to figure out but folks seemed to be enjoying it. Unique.
judy, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Our stay at Northern Lights Lodge in Stowe was excellent. The views were beautiful and the breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning. One thing I’d suggest is adding a microwave for guests, since most restaurants nearby close early and the ones open are mostly pubs or Italian spots, not ideal if you need halal or affordable options and don’t want to drive 20–30 minutes. Still, the lodge itself is amazing and highly recommended!
Marzana, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Was nice with rustic feeling. Mattress could have been better but overall had an excellent time.
Christopher, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Michael went out of his way to change our room to a king size bed with lawn chairs outside at no extra charge.
Wayne, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Good breakfast; uncomfortable beds and pillows. Outdated pool. The outdoor pool did not appear to be open.
Mihaela, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

While it could use an update the property was clean, comfortable, and staff were very friendly. The made to order breakfast was a wonderful surprise!
Thomas, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Northern Lights was a diamond in the sky. This little gem was so clean it squeaked. The owners were kind and helpful. There were homemade touches which made us feel like we had stepped back in time to a day when Innkeepers were there to take travelers into their home and make you feel like they wanted you there.
Suzanne, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Was a nice quiet place to stay, very cozy.
Amelia, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Very basic motel. Advertises made to order breakfast, but only offers choices of scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs & sausage, yogurt & granola, and muffins/scones. Would’ve liked some other protein options for someone who can’t eat eggs. Our room was located near the door for the indoor pool & ice machine, so there was a lot of heavy footed traffic past our room all night/morning. Probably would not stay again as the hotel next door was much nicer.
Tammie, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Extremely friendly staff. Breakfast includes eggs, sausage, bread/toast, coffee, milk, cereal, muffin, scone, oatmeal and OJ. Indoor pool, sauna and hot tub. Available electric charger lvl 2. Room are rustic but nice includes fridge and freezer. On site washer and dryer
Lipaz, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Nice place to stay , staff really nice and good breakfast
Todd, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Innkeepers live on property (huge plus). Shannon is a wealth of knowledge about the area and provided spot-on recommendations for our quirky interests: finding a farm-to-table restaurant (The Bench, great variety and impressive brewery choices) and a history buff’s “must-see” (Smugglers’ Notch Cave and State Park, see *Note at end). In addition to historical CCC structures and the Cave, the state park also has great facilities for folks who want to pitch a tent and explore nature. HUGE thank you to Shannon, without whom we would have missed this experience, beginning with that beautiful winding mountain pass drive through the Notch (definitely bumps up the adrenaline). *Note: Smugglers’ Notch historical importance/impact spans multiple centuries and includes crucial trade with Canada to survive Jefferson’s embargo act, a route for slaves escaping to freedom in Canada, and smuggling during the prohibition era (1920s-30s).
Sherry, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Great stay! Very close to the Stowe mountains.
