Checking in was good. Dude was friendly. He was really concerned about my dog making a mess. After reassuring him that Poppy is awesomwe, He gave me room #215 upstairs in the corner. Before leaving the office, he made sure to tell me that it was a non smoking room. First impression entering the room was that we were entering a dark cave. Very poor recessed lighting in this room. We could tell that an effort was made to make improvements, but it fell kinda short. Instantly hit with the smell of air freshner covering up smoke. The cleaning people did a pretty good job with what they had. The two lounge chairs in the room were decades old & looked dirty. The air was off & it took hours to get the room to a comfortable temperature. When it came to the bed, I first pulled the blankets & sheets back for my usual bed bug check, It passed. The sheets were clean & smelled clean. The matteress was old, but not too bad. The blanket was horrible with several cigarette burn hole and even a clup of human hair. It spent the entire stay on the floor. We used only the sheets for bed coverings. There were minimal ammenities, no coffee pot. The bathroom was nice & clean, again the lighting was very very poor. Two small recessed LEDs over the sink were set on dim mode. A third recessed LED in the shower was bright. The bathtub was nice, but no water stopper. The shower head was at least 7'6" high and the water pressure was so high that it was almost painful. Lots of hot water. I won't stay again.
