Very good but be prepared to unplug
My stay was a good one. This lodge is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Grand Lake. Unfortunately, the WiFi was extremely unreliable (even the one with the EXT on it). Its location tucked up against a hill made cell service dicey as well. Otherwise, very comfortable and clean! Never saw or spoke to any staff but I was taken care of.

Quickest check in I have ever had. Period. Grand Lake is a really great place to go and this lodge was right where all the food and shopping was.

Works for me!
Perfect location! Clean lodge nestled in Grand Lake. The front desk was very accommodating for a check in that was not during their typical window due to work commitments. The room was fine for what I needed and the WiFi was reliable. Any accommodations in the area are pricey, but I found this lodge to be nicer than most. Again, very clean but if you like a fluffy pillow, you might want to bring one with you.

A/C Unit Noise Kept Us Up All Night
Nice, clean older motel in the heart of Grand Lake. Everything was great except the a/c unit made loud clunking/grinding noises all night long and it was too hot in the 2nd floor room to turn it off so we did not sleep well. We were in room #28 or #29 in the corner.

Disappointed!
The pictures on Hotels.com must have been taken awhile ago because they were nothing like the reality of the condition of the place. No pretty hanging pots with gorgeous flowers just a wheelbarrow full of old dirt and what was left of flowers (not recently planted), and an old paint stir stick. Check-in was easy but the front office no longer resembles the photos on the website. I wish I would have taken some pictures to post here. Room smelled musty. The bed looked more like a full size than the queen we thought we were getting. Plus, Grand Lake, at this time of year, is dead. There were quite a few tourists but many of the restaurants were operating on limited hours. Nothing much to do there.

The front desk person was very kind and accommodating.
He allowed us to check out a bit later so we could finish our hike.
The room was quiet and clean. The location was within easy walking distance to the lovely Grand Lake downtown area.

Not great.
When we walked in, my son said, "it smelled like camp" and he was right. It had an old lodge feel and smell. The rooms were muggy and old. Glad we were only there one night.

Decent independent motel needing a little work
The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are nice an appear to be recently renovated. New bathrooms, rugs, everything. That’s the good news. The bad news is they are in serious need of a heating technician. The first room was so hot I couldn’t not stay and the thermostat did not work. I notice other rooms were using their AC presumably to lower temps from hot water heat. Next room upstairs had a working thermostat with a sluggish heating system. Secondly the wifi did not work in the upstairs room. They need to fix that…..bring in the techies. That’s a big deal. Hate to give them a 3 but they need to get it together.

Needs renovation
Lodge is outdated, needs immediate renovation. Price is too high for what you get. I paid double the price than 4 or 5 stars hotel in the same period. Staff is friendly and helpful. No air con.. Perfect location.

Fix the water turn on!
Check in was easy. Room was very clean. Air conditioner didn't lower the temperature hardly at all. Shower/bath would not turn on. Left early so had to clean up in sink.
