Everything was great, this is the nicest hotel I stayed in this trip in Japan. The hotel is in a great location, the room was a good size and very clean and the onsen was really lovely and not at all busy. The little temple right inside the hotel was lovely too. Like most Jp hotel rooms, it's a small footprint, but really beautiful, design-forward update of a hotel, with a cool connection to the nextdoor temple (including options to see a service at 6:40am every day!) The incense in the lobby was my favorite thing-- and the location is incredible for Kyoto based hanging out.
