The hotel is a short walk to Chenang Beach and numerous shops and restaurants. It’s close enough for the convenience, but far enough away from the tourist traffic to offer a quiet, peaceful stay. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the Rice Garden restaurant offers good dining choices for dinner and snacks. The rooms are spacious and well designed and the shower and bathroom area are pleasantly modern. The hotel is very family friendly and we felt well taken care of by the kind and helpful staff. We would definitely stay at the Mercure if we visit Langkawi again.

A nice hotel in a good area. Very friendly staff and clean throughout. The only drawback with this hotel is noise. The corridors on the guest room floors are tiled, as are the guest rooms. Other guests were extremely noisy at times, particularly the evenings, and as the noise carries it was hard to get a good nights sleep sadly. Otherwise, a nice visit.

Room was very nice. It was clean, had a large comfortable bed and was very quiet. The whole hotel was lovely and the buffet breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and courteous and a special mention for Sufyan the concierge who was very helpful. The reception staff and F&B team were also very nice. The location of the property was perfect—very close to the beach and plenty of food options. However, we had booked a two-bedroom unit, but it wasn’t available upon arrival. Instead, we were moved to a single-bedroom setup, forcing the third person to sleep on a makeshift bed that was uncomfortable and too short. Anyone taller than 5’8” would likely struggle to fit on it.

Wonderful stay at Mercure Langkawi

We had a wonderful 3 nights stay at Mercure Langkawi. The hotel is new and clean and service staff were very friendly. It was our first trip to the island and the counter staff patiently gave us information on the different places of interest and helped us book the island hopping tour as our son was really keen to see the eagles. Special shout-out to Nora who took the initiative to prepare a birthday surprise for me in our room.

Luxurious stay right by Pantai Cenang Beach

Very comfortable and luxurious hotel very close to the popular Pantai Cenang beach. The rooms have a modern decor and were very clean and comfortable. The hotel has a good range of free and optional paid for facilities. The staff were very welcoming and professional. Our only gripe was the service in the 99 Islands Bar. The staff there have a habitbof 1) forgetting exactly what ypu ordered, 2) taking an extraordinary amount of time to deliver the order, and 3) giving you the wrong bill at the end. They are very polite though and quick to correct any mistakes.

Only slight negative (though only slight) I faced was they are bit understaffed on reception with only 1 person working. Which means, it can take a bit of waiting to get check in, or even get any other minor issue address which needs reception's attention.

Rooms were good, beds comfortable, staffs friendly and ready to assist. Breakfast was excellent at Rice Garden. There were a few maintenance issues like water clogging in wash basin, tv remote not working, door card was not working at times. However staff immediately assisted to resolve issues. We booked for two Delux Double rooms. The rooms were on the other side of the GF even upon request placed during booking to give us rooms next to each other. Sofa bed was provided instead of single bed in the rooms. These were later changed upon request. Overall the experience was very good. Loved the lounge and pool area. There was always a pleasant breeze in these areas at all times which made us unwind and relax. 99island bar and service was great.
