Room was dirty with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, bathroom radiator was rusty, shower rail fell off wall as not secured, lots of black mould in the bathroom, and the amount of toenail clippings on the bathroom floor suggested it had not been cleaned.

Really lovely staff and the check in experience was very pleasant. The room was just about acceptable in terms of cleanliness but the toilet was not clean and still had used paper in it. The room and the surroundings were very tired and beyond worn in some places, especially the carpet on the stairs which was very dirty. As there was no breakfast, we could not comment on it. It’s such a shame because the setting is quite pleasant and it could be a lovely place to visit.

Phone signal is not great. I had 3 and Vodaphone, affected calls and internet connection. No wifi Would I stay again? Yes, for the price paid. No, if the price point raised without an increase in facilites and decor standards. Comment to the owners - I'd happily come back to stay a5 the price point I paid, and would love to try the asian food on offer.

Absolutely great stay, friendly hosts & super helpful. Pub had delicious Chinese menu which my little one loved. Playground could use a bit of love & couldn’t turn the heating off in the bathroom. Overall delightful little place and would definitely be back.

We booked this last minute for Crufts. The room wasn't ready when we arrived but we were offered a complimentary drink at the bar, which was very busy, while it was sorted. Bed was comfortable, Room was old fashioned but clean if a little run down, however excellent value for money. Had great walks along the canal for the dogs. Would stay again.
