A grande disappointment 😞

Was put into a different building to the main hotel which we were told is the Residence. Bath had water in it and would not empty due to a stuck plug, advised reception who said a technician would come and look, who never arrived. Air Con did not work, a fan was in the room to replace it and this was broken. Sofa bed was not fit for purpose, so uncomfortable. Extremely disappointed with what was supposed to be a 4 star hotel.

A shameful place to rent.

Do not stair there under any circumstances unless you really have to (actually you don’t). This place needs major renovation. The rooms are outdated and poorly maintained. A foot stool has become a nightstand. The shower tiles are in need of love. Forget about AC, all it has is windows that barely close. The elevator broke down in us. The reception is located on the other side of the square. I’ll stop there. Just stay home.

Do not stay at the Residences, only at the hotel

Upon arrival, we weren’t aware that we had to go into the Hotel part across the square in order to check. Check in was straight forward. We then walked across the square to the Residences. When getting into the Residences building the lift didnt work so we had to carry 2 suitcases up 6 flights of stairs. It was quite late when we arrived so we pretty much put our suitcases down and went to bed. It was very hard to sleep as it was so warm and the aircon did not work. In the morning, we started to get ourselves ready. The bathroom was awful, mould on the grout and ceiling, rust in the bath, shower hose also had mould and the whole bathroom smelt.....probably because the extractor didnt work. The door card reader was coming off of the door and could not shut the door easily. There were live wires not covered where sockets should have been. First thing that morning we went to speak with the manager as my husband and youngest daughter have asthma and our daughter being autistic would not step foot in the bathroom. The service was very good, the manager provided us with 2 rooms next to each other as they had no family rooms left. The rooms in the actual hotel was lovely and definitely recommend. I was a little disappointed that they refused to provide us with breakfast due to the room hassle as i had already spent out €37 on breakfast supplies that we could then no longer use as there were obviously no crockery in the hotel rooms.

We stayed in this property due to a concert, the arena is under a 10-minute walk. The studio apartment was perfect for the 3 of us. Overall we had a great weekend stay

Was ok. It’s a bit dated and not much there.

Rundown

Not good at all. Took ages to check in. They had 4 staff on the desk but only 2 working (very slowly). Room is really tired. Needs a complete makeover as does the whole block. Also had to have the key card changed twice in our 2 night stay due to it not working. Room is budget looking i.e. everything about it screams cheap and nasty, from the 70s carpet to the broken light fittings, dirty looking bathroom and broken TV. Also, no aircon, so room was very hot (it was around 23 deg outside during the day). Not what you expect for a ÂŁ200 a night room. On the plus side, it was clean, just didn't look it.
George, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We attended a concert at the arena (7 minute walk), so this was very convenient. We had a one-bedroom suite for 4 of us-a bedroom, living room with sofa bed, and a small kitchen. The staff at the hotel was wonderful-allowed us to check in early and were very helpful with all our questions. Plus, it's directly next to (above) the metro/RER station, so extremely convenient. There are a lot of dining choices around as well.

Exactly what it says on the tin.

The hotel is according to expectations: clean, no frills. Bed is OK, shower good, room pretty clean.

Stinky toilets

They do room cleaning after every 4 nights. This means you have to use the toilet for 4 days without any cleaning. The dinning was closed and the bar too for Always. But the staff and receptionist was helpful and kind.

19th January

It was quite difficult to find the hotel but the receptionist staff - Wendy in particular - made the process very easy. It would have been nice to know before booking that our accommodation was across the square, rather than in the same building as the car park

Room was clean and tidy. All basic essentials provided. Happy that there was a fridge and kettle that we used. 2 min walk to the underground that allowed us to get around super easy. Convenient store just outside the building which had everything we could possibly need.
