Had a great stay at Galaxy Hotel for a one night layover in HCMC, conveniently located to the airport and many cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Since this area isn't the usual tourist spot-travelers are here to overnight before their flight- not many establishments speak English, however I didn't have any problems ordering coffee and dinner. Room was spacious and very clean. I reserved a room with balcony and city view. Would recommend for a short stay.

Stopped over for less than 24 hours in Saigon while traveling. This hotel is close to the airport. They happily arranged for a taxi to transport me.

I enjoyed my stay and was impressed by the competitive price considering the room condition — until I found some leftover nail clippings on the table and in the bathroom. (The room definitely needs more thorough cleaning.) The staff were friendly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the air conditioner didn’t work well, and the room wasn’t cool even by the time I checked out. It’s a decent place to stay if you only need a few hours of rest before a flight.

Even though it was a late check in (1a.m. due to the flight), the hotel reception was effective with friendliness. The room was wide and gave me all I needed. I just did not know how to watch local TV programs. It was around 15 mins walk from the international arrival gate.
