Great value, all the basics

This hotel is a great value in a stellar location. It is small and historic no frills, very clean with good mattresses. In the heat of the summer, AC was adequate, but not perfect. However, we managed just fine! Transit access and many food options nearby. No fridge, coffee nor microwave in rooms. If you want to spend your money on adventures and not hotel, it’s the best place. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Walls were thin. Could clearly hear people in the next room having relations quite loudly. Could also clearly hear ppl talking in the next room. Is a good bargain for downtown Chicago, but don't expect any sort of luxury with the rooms. Cafe Luna next door is awesome though!

Good value for a great location

Bed was very comfortable. Room had a great view of the L tracks from the 12th floor. Nice kitchenette with a large empty mini fridge, microwave, bar sink and bar window looking into the bedroom area. Hotel showed it's age but was kept clean, and service was top notch. I recommend the nearby Beatrix Food Market as a place to buy a fresh bite.

Although a little dated, the hotel is centrally located to attractions and had easy access to CTA. Good choice of restaurants and convenient stores nearby. Lobby attached to nice breakfast restaurant and also Thai restaurant. Rooms are decent for age of hotel and quiet.
