Lake Oswego - Town Center

The hotel is in a great location. The view of the lake was very peaceful.

8/10 Very good

The staff was friendly and the room was very nice. Great location on the lake and looks very much like the pictures. The only things to be aware of is that the water pressure in the shower is ok but not great. Also, not the hotel’s fault but if of the train goes by it blasts its horn no matte

Sweet dreams right on Lake Oswego

Great little place to stay right on the lake. Walking distance to all of Old Town Lake Oswego. Comfy beds, great views. Continental breakfast. Wonderful staff, from front desk to housekeeping to maintenance crew. No frills, sweet location!
Small, warm pool on the water.
Living room area with a sofa bed.
View from sitting balcony.

Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. In the bathroom, it would be helpful to have a small piece of furniture or a table to put stuff out. Also, a small soap dish by the sink would be good.

My two favorite things about this property is I can walk to great restaurants, shopping etc and the view of the lake.

Very comfortable accommodations

Quiet and safe location in downtown Lake Oswego, even though it’s on a busy street. Older building still featured newer kitchenette (basic appliances) and very comfortable bedding. Adequately stocked bathroom. Over all a positive stay.

Nice hotel, great location.

The hotel is in a great location. And has an amazing view. Their next to a pretty big shopping center and lots of restaurants. And just about 20 minutes to anywhere without traffic. Only downside is the room did have a funny smell, but it didn't bug us that much. They did have a heated pool and they do allow pets. And their breakfast is just a continental breakfast, but you have to get your breakfast early or they run out of pastries.

Quaint

Beautiful setting on the lake, close to restaurants, grocery and coffee!

8/10 Very good

Hotels, quaint, but quiet. The room was clean comfortable. Parking was a nightmare and will be more of a nightmare when they finish the building just across the parking lot. For me, someone who travels a lot, was inadequate.

Deserie was exceptional as the check in staff from before getting to the hotel and upon check in and throughout the stay.

The pool on the lake is unique for Portland.

6/10 Good

Some great, some bad unless you like trains.

For an older built inn, it was very clean and the location is terrific on with a great view and easy walking access to amenities. The issue is it is right on a set up train tracks and the train goes by in the middle of the night, and really like to blow the horn.
Matt, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Misled on the booking through expedia. I thought I was getting a view room. The staff explained that when you book on Expedia or a third party, you are not guaranteed a view room. This hotel is on a lake. The view is the only reason to stay here. The hotel is old and outdated but in a great location that is walkable to everything.
Natalka, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Starting at 730a construction noise non stop for hours so far at almost 10a!! The door stops absolutely no noise and it feels like they’re inside the room sawing and hammering !! So much for my beautiful lake view and peaceful morning. They should offer earplugs!!
Leigh, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Room wasclean but dark. No view of the lake from there. Pretty bleak for the price.
Kandee, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The view of the lake and proximity to food and bev (while being quiet) is unparalleled. The soaking tub, divine. A few small things: the toilet was oddly positioned and would have been an issue for someone taller, there was no counter/shelf/table for toiletries and the airconditioning/hearing system was not streamlined or whisper-quiet. Oh, waterfront balcony, though, did i mention?
Lynette, 2-night trip

Anniversary stay was okay

The room was very clean and had obviously been refurbished fairly recently. New carpet, paint and everything replaced in the bathroom. The bed was quite comfy too. Our only issue was the musty smell. The bathroom especially. We left the vent fan on all night because of it. And the floor is incredibly sloped. It's obvious the building has settled quite a bit over the years and is sagging. The breakfast in the morning was not much at all. We got down at 8:45ish and there was orange juice, coffee and two stale looking pastries. That's it. We chose to eat elsewhere. Can not fault the view at all. It was gorgeous.
Cathy, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Location is great, less than 5 mins walk from many great restaurants and bars and easy access to city center. Unfortunately my rating is a reflection of the check in and receptionist on duty. I arrived early and was told my room was not ready. Completely understand, however this information was relayed with no emotion or offer to store luggage until room was ready. Most unfriendly, no smile or engagement with me. When I next met this receptionist it was because my key didn’t work, she proceeded to lecture me around magnetic card shouldn’t be close to phone. It’s the small things that leave a lasting impression and although the room and the view and location were very good - I didn’t have a great experience.
Annemarie, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

The location was great - close to cute shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. The beds and bedding were wonderful, very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and I loved the balcony. The reason I’m not giving it a higher rating is because we were met with a strong pungent odor immediately. To me, it smelled like wet dog (and I love dogs, have always had them). Other people who were also staying here for the same wedding said it smelled musty. I’m not talking a little musty; I’m talking “how many zombies are hiding in here” musty. My friend and I spent our own money buying scented cones, air fresheners, and disinfectant spray trying to get rid of the smell. Eventually it got bearable- whether the products we bought worked or I just got used to it I don’t know. Oh and we did complain to management and asked for other rooms but they were booked (and honestly hearing that others who stayed here, away from my friend and me, had the same problem I doubt changing rooms would have helped). I understand someone just bought the property and they’re working on the issue, however I only found that out by reading a similar negative review and that was their response. It would have been nice if they got back to my friend and me WHILE WE WERE THERE about the smell (after they promised they would) rather than give radio silence. But I guess trying to squelch a negative review online is more motivation to respond than attending to a customer’s concerns in real time.
