This hotel is quite old. Very busy due to ice storm in Northern Michigan. The first days breakfast was not impressive. The king bed had four tiny pillows that had little support.

Hockey kids/parents are a nightmare in hotels
Nightmareish weekend The hotel was nice with good accommodations.I went for a nice relaxing weekend to just get away with my man. But it was not relaxing at all.The staff did a wonderful job under the circumstances of the weekend. The hotel was overrun by unruly children and drunk, run down hockey parents. Screaming and doing stick drills at all hours of the night on the floors (right above my room).

My partner and I and our two dogs needed a place to stay after a week without power/heat/water from the ice storms up north. This was one of the closest places to us that was pet friendly. It was a cheap option so we didn’t expect much. The service from staff was super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was exactly what you’d expect at a hotel, and had everything we needed. Hot food and coffee. Perfect! The property itself was not great. The lobby bathroom had not been cleaned. Our bed sheets had stains all over them, trash was overflowing in the outside garbage cans. The pool/hot tub and gym were out of service. The walls/ceiling were paper thin and we could hear the loudest squeak from the room above us every time they took a step. Not their fault at all, they probably didn’t even realize it, but it made sleeping very difficult. Overall, would not recommend, but if you need a cheap place to stay, it was fine.

Worst hotel in town
The room was not cleaned at all, there was snot on the walls, hair in the tub, sink was clogged with a hair ball, we asked to be moved to another room, they accommodated us but the room wasn’t any cleaner, the bed was broken and the pillows were something that should have need thrown out! Will never stay there again!!

I booked this trip solo and I’d never done that before so I chose this hotel because of the hottub and breakfast and getting to it from all the wineries was super easy. The location is great overall. The front desk worker Paul was so kind and energetic and polite. They took really good care of their rooms and the pool area was beautiful and clean and the breakfast in the morning was pretty perfect even without cream cheese for the bagel I got 😁
